Tanya Stephens delivers at spectacular performance at "Woman Is Boss" in Brooklyn

Tanya_Stephens_Woman_is_boss_Brooklyn_New%20York.jpg

Legendary Jamaican Songstress Tanya Stephens thrilled her fans with a "Boss" of a performance on December 24, 2012 at the "Woman is Boss" show at the Woodbine Ballroom, Brooklyn NY. The show also featured the true Empress "Nadine Queen", Princess Menen, Thunder Bolt and Noah Di Youth with Di Powa.

The night began with a high energy performance by Thunder Bolt and Noah Di Youth with Di Powa. Thunder Bolt was a popular Jamaican music group in the 70's to 80's who put out the "Born Jamaican" Album which was a popular hit at that time. The vibes was also set by Noah Di Youth with Di Powa which is a Hip Hop Reggae and R&B artiste from Brooklyn. The next act for the night was Nadine Queen who thrilled the audience with a powerful cover of Adele’s’ “Someone like You and “So much Trouble” and “I Believe” which was well received by the audience. This act was then supported by a spirited performance by the youthful and self-confident Ghanaian born artiste Princess Menen who raised two of her hit songs “Mi Ready” and “Dem No Genuine”. The audience rocked to the beats of her melodious tones as they sang along to her conscious lyrics.

The crowd was now in high spirits by all the acts of the talented performances of the night and was now anticipating the “return” of Tanya Stephens to the stage. Tanya Stephens is no new name to the Jamaican music scene, having been around since the early 90s and continues to make hits today. Pandemonium broke loose as the talented vocalist made her way to the stage. Tanya hit the stage with her famous song on the “Joy Riddim”, “Yuh Nuh Ready Fi Dis Yet” (which was the song that launched her music career). Tanya is known for popular hits like : "Goggle", "Turn The Other Cheek" "Boom Wuk", "Handle The Ride", "Big Heavy Gal", "Too Hype", "What A Day", "Draw Fi Mi Finger", a new song "Weather Changes" "Pon De Corner", "Can't Breathe", "After You", "The Truth", "Do You Still Care", "These Streets", Tanya ended her set with "It's A Pity". With such a revolting performance she could not leave the stage with her little over one hour performance, as the D.j requested for her to do one more of her mega hit "119" and from the loud reaction of audience, she could not leave without doing so, they were not ready for Tanya to leave, before she did that song.

Blak Ryno Addresses Sting 2012 Incident

Popcaan_Blak_Ryno_Fight_Photos_video_pictures_sting_2012.jpg

STING 2012 is dubbed as one of the "Greatest One Night Reggae Dancehall Shows on Earth" and over the years its been filled controversy, raw energy, on the spot creativity and the end of many artiste careers as well as the birth of others.

Dancehall Artiste Blak Ryno is no stranger to the show as he's not just only performed on several occasions but entertained fans who tuned in to watched online or those who went to see the show live. This year the artiste wasn't formally booked for the event but just as how over the years spontaneously artiste made surprise performances, the artiste was about to the same.

Blak Ryno who went on when Popcaan was on stage performing hoped to give his fans and those who may not be a well wisher a show/performance many have been wanting to witness since his departure from the controversial group Portmore Empire more popularly known as GAZA.

After he made his entrance on Stage to much surprise, the artiste long anticipated clash came to an abrupt end when Popcaan made a cowardly move and push him off stage. Blak Ryno who attempted to make a second entrance to settle all scores lyrically was stopped by security personnel.

Macka Diamond Runs From Clash

Spice_sting_donkey_2013.jpgThe much anticipated clash between Spice and Macka Diamond at this year's Sting, failed to materialize last night after veteran artiste, Macka Diamond refused to clash, although present at the venue.

Upon entering the Jamworld stage in St. Catherine, Spice quickly summoned Macka Diamond, however, after numerous calls the deejay failed to take the stage. Spice then called out "Farmer Joe" and a donkey, who she referred to as Macka's twin and went into singing Who Let Out The Donkey, her response to Macka Diamond's previous clash singles.

During the performance, Spice yet again called for Macka Diamond to take the stage, but she was not forthcoming. A younger deejay tried to make her way to the stage to take on the lyrical giant, but Spice was not having it and the young deejay was silenced and relegated to the side of the stage.

Sizzla, Busy Signal shine at drama-filled STING 2012

By Marc Parc
OutAroad.com Writer

In the New Living Translation version of the Bible, John 1:5 reads, "The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it." Perhaps this enlightening quote from scripture sums up STING 2012 in a nutshell: A night filled with few stellar performances standing out above the drama and sub-standard efforts that dominated Dancehall's biggest stage show.

STING 2012 was hyped in recent weeks as a revamped stage show focusing on strong performances, unearthing more young talent and an adjusted clash format. Though the show left a somewhat disappointing taste in the minds of hardcore Dancehall fans, some noteworthy acts and less recognizable names added flavor to an event that has lost some taste in recent years.
After a number of unknown acts and a clash of the bands dominated the first few hours of STING, it took a couple of veterans to finally put life into the show; primarily Wickaman, who delivered a spirited performance while honoring his long-time friend and fellow deejay, Captain Barkey, delving into their catalogue of hits from the 90s and 2000s.

Fellow veteran, Lady G proved she still has gas left in the tank while comedic entertainer Food Kartel also engaged the crowd by 'cooking' some of this year's biggest hits like Uncle Demon (Shook) and many others.

This is the latest in a strong run in the United States for Hammond, who appeared on the Jimmy Fallon show last week, where he promoted One Life, One Live and performed alongside Grammy-winning hip-hop/soul band, The Roots.

Busy Signal to tour Europe, continue promotions in the U.S.

By Marc Parc
OutAroad Writer

Busy_Signal_Case_US_Jamaica.jpgRecently freed Dancehall/Reggae superstar, Busy Signal will return to arguably his most accommodating overseas market as he's set to tour Europe early next year.

The popular singjay, who recently served a six month sentence for absconding bail in the United States, will embark on a promotional tour next month to highlight his highly successful album, Reggae Music Again. According to Busy's manager, Shane Brown, the album has thrived despite the singjay's legal issues and still has a strong shelf life in terms of popularity and appeal.

This is big news for Busy, whose album was recently named as one of BBC Music's top 10 albums of 2012. Not only was Reggae Music Again the only Reggae project on the list, it was lauded as some plaudits as an authentic representation of the Reggae genre, fitting for the island'’s 50th anniversary.
Busy Signal was humbled by this development, stating in a press release, "When I heard, I just went speechless. This is really a great honor and I just want to big up everyone who supports this album and who will continue to support this album."

Rayvon & Red Fox Team Up For 'No Other Like You'

Rayvon_Red_Fox_Shaggy_Reggae_Music.jpg

Billboard charting singer Rayvon has teamed up with dancehall toaster Red Fox on the bubbly and body rocking tune called No Other Like You.

The track was produced by Musical Masquerade, a Jamaican producer based in the United States.

In a release to the media, Musical Masquerade revealed how the collaboration came about.

"After I finished writing the song I thought about the best voices to fit it and heard the voices of Rayvon and Red Fox in my head. I felt they had the best voices to pull it off", the producer explained.

He also pointed out that the feedback to the song has been overwhelming.

"The feedback has been good. The radio jocks say they haven't had a song or a collaboration like this in a while and they also like the direction that the song is taking. It's not running down the regular dancehall hype, but it just stands out as an excellent song with excellent production and with the right voices".

Both Rayvon and Red Fox have for years toured with international dancehall sensation Shaggy as part of his Big Yard crew.

Veteran artistes to be featured on GT’s Christmas Extravaganza

Yellow_man_king_reggae_artistes.jpgWhiles most promoters have chosen to feature mostly current reggae and dancehall acts on the lineups for their events, GT Taylor who promotes the annually held GT's Christmas Extravaganza stage show has opted for a more wider selection of artistes.

The veteran broadcaster who is popularly known as the Dancehall Master on IRIE FM said that in his opinion no real major Jamaican stage show event is completed without a lineup that features artistes from the early eras popular Jamaican culture.

"As a promoter I don't see how it's possible to stage a major event without featuring artistes from the different eras of our music. Our musical culture is so diverse and all eras produced a plethora of stars, so I don't really see how it would be possible to keep an event such as mine without featuring some of these acts," said GT Taylor.

According to GT over the years he has always selected a number of these artistes to be a part of Christmas Extravaganza and this year the trend will continue as the likes of George Nooks, King Yellow Man and Johnny P will be among the plethora of stars that will grace the Christmas Extravaganza stage this Christmas Night.

Popcaan shots music video with rapper, Pusha T; takes Vanity Fair spotlight

Popcaan_Diplo_Vanityfair.jpgWorking assiduously at turning himself into an illustrious brand, while 'repping' for dancehall music, Popcaan has made a smooth entrance into the world of rap music through a recent collaboration with a popular American rapper.

The entertainer recently wrapped up a video shoot with popular US rapper, Pusha T, who is signed to Kanye West's G.O.O.D Music label. Pusha T, who came to the fore as one half of the duo, Clipse, was featured alongside Big Sean on Kanye's blockbuster single, "Mercy", which went on to achieve platinum-selling status this year. A musically astute artiste, Kanye sampled the high-pitched vocals of Jamaican Fuzzy Jones, on "Mercy". Jones was a popular song/dubplate intro man during the 70's and 80's and with the huge success of Mercy, it isn't surprising that the G.O.O.D team have come to Jamaica for an original - Popcaan.

Papi is featured on Pusha T’s single "Blocka", and the decision was taken to have the music video shot on location in Jamaica using talented Los Angeles-based director, Orson Whales. Interestingly, while Pusha T was in Jamaica, Popcaan introduced him to all the main dancehall street parties, where Pusha T even got on the mic a few times, much to the delight of his Jamaican fans.

It was quite a busy period for Popcaan, as he also shot the video for the Dre Skull-produced single, “So We Do It”, on the Kling Kling riddim. The video was directed by "Vice" magazine editor and feature documentary filmmaker Andy Capper, whose credits include the Snoop Dogg documentary "Reincarnated".

Elliven_Artiste_dancehall.jpg

Just in time for the holidays, Philadelphia based Jamaican reggae singer Elliven has released the track Christmas Time. It features deejay Hot Fyah.

Christmas Time was produced by Elliven's very own NAP Musiq label.

In a release to the media, Elliven revealed how the song came about.

'The idea for the song came about early one December day while moving about and I couldn't help but notice that people were in the Christmas vibe. The Christmas lights around the malls, and the houses adorned with Christmas decorations. It was then that the idea really hit me. Christmas is also my favourite time of the year', said Elliven.

Budding artiste Hot Fyah who is featured on Christmas Time, has appeared on several projects on the NAP Musiq label.

'The intention of releasing Christmas Time was to spread the joy of the season with family, friends and music lovers around the world', Elliven explained.

Christmas Time is just a precursor to what the artiste has prepared for 2013.

Khago set to blaze the Christmas Extravaganza stage on Christmas Night

khago_downsound_records.jpg

Dancehall star Khago is one of the headline acts that will perform under the 'Still Rules' theme on GT Taylor's Christmas Extravaganza stage show on the 25th of December, 2012.

Khago burst onto the scene in 2008 with the hit single titled Cant Cool, since then he consistently churned out hit after hit. In a very short time he has managed to make quite an impression on dancehall fans globally with his catchy dancehall tunes and his high energy stage performances.

Like most top dancehall artistes Khago who is viewed by many as a top contender for the King of the Dancehall title, has also had his fair share of controversy. Still fresh in the memories of dancehall fans is his beef with one time foe now turned friend I-Octane and most recently Sizzla.

However the hard-hitting deejay has put all that behind him and is focusing solely on building is name into an international brand under the guidance of Downsound Records CEO Josef Bandonovich.

"This is very gratifying to know that the long hard struggle to put out this album was worth it. The response from the fans in terms of sales speaks for itself. Right now, Bob Marley is #1, I am #2, and Bob is #3, so it’s evident that people were waiting for this album," he said.

Nando Griffiths Hits #1 With My Everything

Nando_griffiths_my_everything_JMC_CHART.jpgAfter 27 weeks on the Jamaica Top 25 Reggae Countdown chart, singer Nando Griffiths' outstanding love ballad My Everything has finally reached the summit of the chart. The slow climb to the top is indicative of the song's gradual, as we say, soaking in with the Jamaican "massives", particularly the ladies, and also of its undeniable quality. Father Romie, proprietor of Exodus Nuclear Sound, was one of the first to endorse My Everything. He disclosed, "From di first time mi hear My Everything, mi say di tune a boom. Mi know it would a tek a likkle time fi reach number 1, because di singer a nuh one di front line artiste dem and di song is di only one on di riddim. Right yah now anytime it play inna dance di woman dem guh crazy and all di man dem waan dedicate it to dem woman dem."

One Jam Music, the folks behind Team Jamaica (Light the Torch), the widely endorsed theme song for the Jamaica Olympic team to London 2012, divulged that they wanted to create a lover's rock song with original lyrics and melody of such high caliber, that Jamaicans would go and check if it's a cover song. According to BoLan from One Jam, "We not into the hype. We want to create cover-worthy classics that will be considered old hits generations from now. We don't have a large catalogue, but we strive to deliver classics such as Lighthouse (Bushman), Team Jamaica, and My Everything."

Dancehall Duo RDX Releases Testimonial "Shining Star"

CLICK HERE TO WATCH MAD BOSS VIDEO

RDX_Shining_Star_Cover_itunes.jpgDespite what industry critics, those who aren’t fans and the politics that exist within the Dancehall Industry, Dynamic Duo RDX haven’t been daunted by the negativity or distractions. Instead it has only fueled the creativity and drive of the Shining Star that the group have become and will remain.

Both Delomar & Renigade who are of humble beginnings, have always been resolute as they pursue and maintain a successful career.
RDX conveyed that while they are proud Jamaicans, they are faced with a society which is plagued with corruption, bureaucratic red tapes and a general notion that those who are of a lower economical background won’t be able to achieve. Whilst they continuously encourages their peers or youths in the “Ghetto” to see the burning flame of potential that exist within them and to just embrace it and be more than what society expects you to be.

A school of thought which states "We are injured and hurt emotionally, not so much by other people or what they say and don't say, but by our own attitude and our own response." - Maxwell Maltz, has been centered at their (RDX) hearts.

Renigade states “this story is the story of our lives… two ghetto youth who are self-made… from nothng to something… but isn’t respected in many circles… it’s a testimonial of ours but also those of many others…”

Back and forth: Tifa addresses Lady Saw comments

By Marc Parc
OutAroad Writer

Tifa_lady_saw_feud_dancehall.jpgDuring a time in the Jamaican music industry when lyrical battles are typically at the fore, an all-out war seems on the verge of occurring amongst some of Dancehall's leading divas.

On Tuesday, the Queen of Dancehall, Lady Saw fired the latest salvo in an ongoing war of words between herself and some of Dancehall's lead female deejays; notably Tifa, Spice and Macka Diamond. The Heels On singer gave a radio interview on Tuesday to Hitz 92 FM in which she blasted her deejay compatriots.

When asked about her issues with Tifa, Lady Saw branded the Hold On singer as an 'uptown Chihuahua.' Additionally, when pressed about Macka Diamond, Lady Saw called her 'Muma Donkey' before turning her attention to Spice, saying "When Laing dun pay her a STING, all she can pay for a the suit."

Later Tuesday afternoon, Tifa tweeted Lady Saw's comments on her official Twitter page, sparking strong reactions from her fans. This led the Matie Wine singer, who recently fell out with Lady Saw after a series of disagreements, to vent her frustrations with the Queen of Dancehall's actions.

"As Queen, you should be sitting on your thrown comfortably! You are a big woman! & new found CHRISTIAN u should not be warring with the others," Tifa tweeted to Lady Saw.

She continued, "What example are you setting for those present & all other upcoming artistes, especially females? Lady saw by degrading us?" before stating, "If this is what a "Queen" is supposed to be, I'd never want to be one, I'd never want to be you."

Tifa also rubbished rumors that she tried to steal Lady Saw's boyfriend of 17 years and famed producer, Lloyd 'John John' James while insisting she stops with her borage of publicity stunts.
"U & I both know that I not take ur man! No offense! But He's not my type! & will never be! This rumor/publicity stunt needs to end," she said. "Lady Saw you are the queen of dancehall & icon! & no one can take that away from you! For that I respect you! But today was shameful."

Macka Diamond disses Spice

By M. Jodee
OutAroad Writer

Macka_diamond_spice_feud_dancehall.jpg

Macka Diamond and Spice, seem to be pre-occupied in their own issues as the two artistes have landed verbal jabs against each other in recent days.

Their quarrel stems from a recent interview that Macka gave to Winford Williams via CVM's OnStage where she referred to Spice as the 'Black One' when speaking of her problems with Lady Saw. Spice retorted when she appeared on the same show last Saturday, saying, "A couldn't me Macka Diamond a stop with, because mi know mi black but me beautiful and my mouth no chaka chaka like fi Macka," before referring to an incident in 2005 where she claimed she beat up Macka following an argument.

Macka Diamond has since voiced her anger in song with the release of Kill the Black One, making several disparaging remarks about Spice while even referencing a recent controversy in which fellow deejay, Pamputtae kissed another girl.

Whether any of these confrontations will be settled remains to be seen. But until that happens, perhaps Tifa's blunt assessments regarding the recent events involving female entertainers sums it up.

"We have been reduced to this! A bunch of headless chickens arguing for no reason & continuing to kill an already dying industry," she tweeted. "It's a shame it came to this. We could have all worked together to build the female force in dancehall to take females in the industry higher."

Bounty Killer freed of gun, assault charges

By M. Jodee
OutAroad.com Freelance Writer

Bounty_killer_sting_er_laing_no.jpgIconic Dancehall superstar, Bounty Killer can breathe easy today after a slew of charges stemming from a five-year old case has been dropped.

Charges of illegal possession of firearm, assault at common-law and unlawful wounding against Bounty Killer were dropped when the internationally-acclaimed deejay appeared in Kingston's Gun Court on Monday. A former policeman and co-accused in the matter, Calis Bowen was also freed of the aforementioned charges.

The charges were in relation to a 2007 incident in the Alliance founder and Bowen allegedly assaulted an off-duty police officer along St. Lucia Ave in New Kingston. This after the policeman left a club and noticed that a section of the roadway was blocked. Reports then emerged that shots were fired at the off-duty police officer and Bounty Killer pointed a gun in the law enforcement official's face.

However, the allegations against Bounty and Bowen were withdrawn by The Crown during Monday's hearing after it was revealed that evidence given by the complainant was contradicted by the statement of a senior police officer.
An ecstatic Bounty Killer expressed his pleasure with the decision, telling IRIE FM, "I'm feeling so relieved right now. It was really a burden on my head the last five years 'cause it was a serious case."

busy_signal_Reggae_music_again_album_cover.jpgThe good news keeps on coming for Dancehall/Reggae superstar, Busy Signal since his release from prison as his latest project has copped a top 10 spot on BBC Music's 'best of the year' chart.

Busy Signal's critically-acclaimed album, Reggae Music Again earned seventh slot on BBC Music's welcome to the top 25 albums of 2012 chart. This 'best of the year' chart was compiled by BBC Music pundits while fielding votes from a number of disc jocks as well as well as presenters from BBC Radio 1, Radio 2, Radio 3, Radio 1Xtra, 6 Music, Ulster and BBC Scotland.

A release issued BBC Music stated that each voter submitted their top five albums of the year, including new releases, mixtapes and DJ compilations. The final positions on the chart were determined by a points system based on the votes that were cast.
Amongst the pundits swayed by Reggae Music Again was BBC music writer, Lloyd Bradley. Bradley said of Busy's compilation, "With Reggae Music Again Busy Signal builds on all the clever musicality of 2010's D O B to produce an album that, appropriately for the 50th anniversary of Jamaica's independence, immerses itself in reggae music heritage. This is far more than what it seems to be billed as, namely 'Busy Signal changes style'. It's an important evolution of dancehall, connecting it to the timeline of Jamaican music, then pushing forwards into the 21st century."

ANG_Alliance_bounty_killer.jpgAce deejay Bounty Killer's ANG group is definitely the hottest dancehall group right now on the local music scene. So it's no surprise that ANG group members Kalado, K Queens and Iyara have been drafted to be on the lineup for this year's staging of GT Taylor's Christmas Extravaganza stage show.

GT Taylor said that the members of ANG that are selected to be on his event have earned their stripes and therefore merit a place on his prestigious Christmas Day showcase.

"Without a doubt ANG is on the rise in the dancehall arena, everybody knows that. They are under the guidance of one of the giants of the industry, Bounty Killer, and anybody he brings on the scene always go all the way to the top of the business and we have to support what he is doing for the industry. According to Iyara who slewed Deva Brat at Sting last year he is looking forward to perform on the show as it has long been his desire to showcase his talent on Christmas Extravaganza.
"It's a good look, GT's show is a show that I have always wanted to perform on over the years and now this year I am on the lineup. The fans can expect an exciting performance from me, K Queens and Kalado, we are going to represent ANG to the fullest."

Sean Paul heads final nominations list for Reggae Grammy

sean_paul_remix_pitbull.jpgInternationally-acclaimed entertainer, Sean Paul will be gunning for yet another Grammy award when music's most celebrated show takes place next February in Los Angeles.

The Got 2 Luv U singer's fifth album, Tomahawk Technique was selected on Wednesday as one of five finalists for the Best Reggae Album Grammy. It's the fourth time that Sean Paul has been nominated for the prestigious honor as previous albums like The Trinity (2006) and Imperial Blaze (2010) have also been selected by The Academy.

Sean Paul previously tasted success at the 2004 Grammys when his multi-platinum CD, Duty Rock was named Best Reggae Album. Should the highly-acclaimed artiste prevail once again in two months, he'll become the sixth act to capture the accolade.

Like Sean Paul, a number of Reggae veterans will be vying for a second success at the Grammy Awards. Once such crooner, Jimmy Cliff seeks to taste success for the first time since 1986 (Cliff Hanger) as his latest project, The Rebirth is also a finalist in the Best Reggae Album category. Cliff's album has been praised by many industry insiders given its authentic, Roots Reggae sound.

Bounty Killer returns STING's deposit, has no interest in Tommy Lee clash

By Marc Parc
OutAroad.com Writer

Bounty_killer_sting_er_laing_no.jpgAny hope that Dancehall superstar, Bounty Killer will perform at STING 2012 seems all but dashed after the 'War Lord' confirmed his intention to skip the popular stage show.
The Alliance leader, who initially was on the STING lineup, declared that he would not perform at STING following 'disrespectful' comments made by the show's lead promoter, Isaiah Laing in an interview, implying that 'Gaza' deejay and current rival, Tommy Lee Sparta had a good chance of defeating him in a clash.

Though speculation within Dancehall circles was rife that Bounty Killer was bluffing, the 'Grung Gaad' confirmed during a radio interview on Wednesday that he was serious. The iconic entertainer stated that his STING deposit was returned a week and half ago and the contract originally signed to do the show is now null and void.

"I've said it previously that I'm not gonna do STING because of certain insults that were thrown at me. To this day, nothing has been reconciled," he said.

This now puts to rest any possibility of a headline clash between Bounty Killer and Tommy Lee after weeks of building up. The two deejays have been at odds ever since comments Bounty made via Twitter in which he questioned artistes who made demonic references in their songs. This later led Tommy Lee to record a scathing diss aimed in Bounty direction, called Goat Head, triggering a series of disses between the two.

Chris Brown Returns To Twitter With Provocative Pic of Rihanna

Brown left Twitter last week after a verbal spat with comedian Jenny Johnson and came back on Sunday with some Instagram pics of Rihanna.

By Gil Kaufman
MTV

Chris_brown_rihanna_photos_twitter.jpgLess than a week after abandoning Twitter following a profane verbal altercation with comedian and TV producer Jenny Johnson, Chris Brown returned to the service on Sunday with the latest in a string of provocative pictures of formerly and possibly current girlfriend Rihanna.

Brown made no comment about his hiatus from the service that has bedeviled him in the past
or about his return, but simply posted a black and white Instagram pic of himself with a satisfied look and a cigarette hanging out of his mouth as Rihanna lounged in the background in a bra and underwear, wrapped up in a camouflage blanket.

The caption of the picture was, "What would music today sound like if these kids didn't exist?" At press time, Brown hadn't posted any new tweets, and the only message on the page was, "Keep it here for all things Chris Brown, updates from the tour and more ... #CarpeDiem." The background of the page featured images from Brown's current tour and noted that @chrisbrown hasn't tweeted yet, with no links to his previous Twitter history.

Johnson issued a non-apology about the incident in a personal essay
posted by GQ magazine on Friday, in which she said she didn't regret the incident, but had learned a lot from the ordeal, which resulted in several thousand death threats.

"This is not an apology. I just want to clear some things up," Johnson began, summarizing what went down during the heated Twitter exchange.

She wrote that she assumed people would stop talking about her after a couple days -- but they didn't.

Camalla Latouche Touring With Lime Merry Moments

Camalla_Latouche_radio_personality_bess_fm.jpgWhen the Merry Moments Train hosted by cellular giant LIME rolled in to Savanna-La-Mar last Saturday, it did so with Camalla Latouche, the effervescent, dynamic, beauty who is also herself an Artiste and Radio Host at BESS FM at the helm as Emcee.

LIME'S visit was to the Petersfield Primary School in its Christmas Community outreach project which involved donating chairs, tables, a laptop computer and one year's internet access for the school, along with a full day of activities, bounce-about, trampoline; merry-go round and entertainment anchored by Camalla.

Fresh from several engagements all across the country with Voices for Climate Change with school children focused on the environment, Camalla says:
"This was the perfect opportunity for me, as LIME has committed to impacting schools in its Christmas Outreach which it dubs “Merry Moments” by being the catalyst for physical improvements to schools all across Jamaica, while providing a Christmas Treat along with live entertainment. In fact, it catered quite nicely to my style, the vibe that I like to create with the audience and I do so love to work with children.”
