Red Stripe endorses Beenie's Summer is Here single
Ace producer Mario C continues to wage a musical assault on modern dancehall with two hot songs for the summer.
He has collaborated with dancehall kingpin Beenie Man on two productions, namely Wine and Summer is Here.
Wine which features sound system selector turned artiste Boom Boom, is one of the tracks off Mario C's Drum Corps rhythm project. It is arguably one of the hottest 'girls' tunes of the summer. The song is currently riding most local charts.
The follow up to Wine is the track Summer is Here which has been endorsed by beer giant Red Stripe for its summer campaign. The song has been creating waves in the island and the accompanying music video is to be released this weekend. The clip was directed by Ras Tingle and Nahsera.
This isn't the first time that Mario C has worked with Beenie Man. They previously collaborated on the chart topping singles Breast Specialist (featuring Vybz Kartel); Back it Up, Three Laws and Go Go Club.
Mario C is also Beenie Man's official DJ whenever he does overseas gigs. They recently did a series of shows in Dubai which were well received.
According to Mario C (real name Mario Campbell), 'Go Go Club' has been doing well in that country and the response from fans has been tremendous.
Mario C is in the midst of completing his Jam House Project which is set for release later this year.
