Freddie McGregor to unveil novel

Big Ship captain, Freddie McGregor will become the latest Jamaican musician to join the literary ranks.

The Reggae patriarch has been working on his debut novel, I Will Wait For You, which will be released via Pageturner Publishing House. McGregor joins a plethora of Dancehall personalities such as Macka Diamond (Bun Him and The Real Gangster's Wife), Miss Kitty (Good Girl Gone Bad) and most recently, D'Angel (Love Triangle) who’ve released novels through Pageturner.

The official release date for I Will Wait For You has not yet been confirmed but should hit book shelves later this year.

Chino and Di Genius not managed by Yendi

Meanwhile, Freddie McGregor's sons have also hit the headlines but for different reasons. Contrary to recent speculation, prominent singjay, Chino McGregor and award-winning producer, Stephen 'Di Genius' McGregor are not being managed by former Miss Jamaica Universe, Yendi Phillips.

This after reports in Belize emerged earlier this week that Phillips had taken over management responsibilities for the duo. Chino and Di Genius were in Belize last weekend for a series of scheduled concerts and were accompanied by Phillips, according to Belize-based publications.

Big Ship Productions currently handle bookings and other music-related queries for both artistes while Blueprint Publicity & Promotions Ltd take care of public relations matters.
Gossip sites have kick-started rumors in recent weeks of a possible relationship brewing between Phillips and Chino. Those rumors have yet to be substantiated.
