Prominent Dancehall/Reggae superstar, Konshens will be unveiling his debut album as he seeks to capitalize on growing international exposure.
The artiste, whose real name is Garfield Spence, will unleash his freshman effort, Mental Maintenance on March 6; containing 17 tracks with a mixture of Dancehall and Reggae flavours while showcasing different sides of the highly-acclaimed deejay. Do Sumn, the first single off Mental Maintenance has done well on local and international Dancehall charts; recently entering the top five on the Hot 97 Boston Charts.
Prior to the album's release next month, Konshens will embark on a promotional tour across the United States, aptly titled the Mental Maintenance tour. He's currently in Florida where he'll visit Jacksonville and Tampa for a three-day media blitz, including several interviews and promotional events. Furthermore, Konshens will travel to Washington DC on February 15 to do a series of promotional events there.
For the Winner singer, this marks an opportunity for him to stamp his authority on the world stage.
"It's a great opportunity to take my music to the people and I am ready to put in the work to make this album a success. I want the people to know and understand Mental Maintenance and realize I put my heart into this album. So the work begins and mi ready," he intimated, via press release.
This past December, Konshens talked in depth about the album; promising fans that they will see a myriad of moods unfamiliar with the public at large.
"The feel of the album is just as the name states. It is like experiencing the mood swings required to maintain, ease, settle and redirect one’s mind. There is a song on the album for every situation," he said.
Meanwhile, dates for the Mental Maintenance tour will soon be announced.
