Kartel's questioning was postponed at the request of Kartel's legal team; a team comprising of veteran lawyers, Tom Tavares Finson, Christian Tavares Finson and Michael Deans. According to Assistant Police Commissioner Ealan Powell, Kartel's attorneys failed to show up for a meeting on Saturday, hence, prompting investigators to reschedule for this week.

Furthermore, one of the main sponsors of Kartel's Teacha's Pet reality show, LIME is currently monitoring his case. The telecommunications outlet held a meeting on Friday discussing the future prospects of Teacha's Pet and deciding what plan of action they would take should bigger charges be issued against the show's focal point.
