Reggae artiste Vybrant is making good on his 2010 commitment to spread the sweet sounds of Jamaica's indigenous reggae music across the world and is celebrating the success of his single Ears Hard, released late last year on the Major Links Entertainment label.
The single is currently making strides on reggae charts, both locally and internationally, and sits comfortably in the top fifteen of several of the charts. The song, a powerful and heart-wrenching tale of a friend, having been released from prison, who has been mowed down by the gun after not listening to words of advice from Vybrant.
The reggae crooner is ecstatic about the success of the song and the video so far and is looking for greater things to do with the song.
"Right now, I'm looking to take that next step with the song that will take it to another level. But we have to give thanks for everything so far. The song is getting crazy love from the people, it ah go hard on the radio, and the video a go hard too," said Vybrant.
Ears Hard is perched at the top of the locally compiled Richie B's Top25 Reggae Singles Chart and the Street Plug-In charts out of London. The single is also at number 11 on the Sytlz FM Reggae Charts and debuted at number 13 on the popular Stampede Reggae Charts. While it's sitting comfortable at #7 on the prestigious OutAroad Weekly Top Ten Reggae Chart.
As for the video for Ears Hard, you only have to check RE-TV's MVP video chart to see the production sitting in the number 2 spot. The video holds that same position on the Carivibez.tv, and is also creating quite a buzz on video upload website YouTube, where it has amassed more than 9000 views.
Vybrant, who hails from the parish of St Thomas and whose real name is Andre Johnson, is quick to remind persons that this is only the beginning of things to come from him.
"We are working hard in the streets and in the studio, so the people should just know to look out for more from Vybrant and more from Major Links Entertainment. That's my focus this year, to grow as a musician and a performer and really put everything I have in my music"
