For reigning Pop crooner Beyonce Knowles, who continues to reap millions from heady record sales and is hailed as arguably the richest and the most bankable among the current crop going around in the Pop - Brood, acting unusually 'greedy' and 'pricey' for a New Year gig ought to come as a surprise.
As per the latest reports it appears that the lady is copping some serious back-lash for being paid an eye - popping $2 million for a private New Year concert for the son of one time Libyan dictator and now President Muammar Gaddafi.
And it's not just the price that the singer quoted but also her decision to appear at a private event, hosted by someone who is eyed with considerable suspicion by her native United States of America that has landed Beyonce in the eye of a storm.
It further appears that the sultry Pop crooner made a brief appearance for about an hour at the said New Year gig at the Nikki Beach nightclub on the Caribbean isle of St. Bart's, which featured among the audience Hip - Hopper hubby Jay-Z, Usher and 'wild child' Lindsay Lohan apart from the controversial Libyan leader, who was also played host to the event and his son.
Again it is learned that the guests had to shell out a staggering $ 12,000 as the ticket price for the said private New Year event.

She's a private citizen, she can go & party with whom ever she pleases. She wont be revealing any military secrets - so they need to back-up off a sista.

Seriously? Y'all think a $2m private gig comes every day? it DOES NOT. The amount is clearly PADDED due to all the factors surrounding the event (the man himself).
I just hope she (or her lawyers) checked with the state department to ensure that recieving that money would not be a problem. I wouldnt want her to be considered a 'terrorist' and end up on the 'no-fly list'.
