the other day mavado invite kartel to his bday bash, kartel decline because he had to perform at usain bolt show,that was a good move but within a matter of days the were back at it making diss songs about each other,if the march is gonna bring peace im all for it,but i'll believe it when i see it.

how can they paint over every graffiti, mavado started dis gully ting, kartel only copied, this is so wrong. Kartel is now agreeing to peace coz he has made so much following and money out of Mavado's ideas. He copied di gully ting and formed his Gaza, h then copied Mavado's singing and melody ting....

when di year started Kartel was campaigning for radio deejays to start say Gaza vs Gully, i remember him sayin it on bbc, he even managed to convince Robbo Ranx to do dat, & to even start say gaza to.

I hope the advocates of this peace initiative don't set themselves up for a heartbrake! I don't wish to be pesimistic or to be a fly in the ointment, but this move will certainly not bring about sustained elimination of lyrical battels/fueds! It is an inherent part of our culture, and it has its place in this genre of music. The only logical upshot is a consensus among gaza and gully fans that the rivalry should only be seen as lyrical and must not be taken out of the dancehall relm or arena!
