When asked what motivated him to write this song Richie Spice replied; "A man should never compare himself to a dog or call himself a dog". "To call one's self a dog is to lower one's self esteem and self worth". "No disrespect to dogs and dog lovers but a man and a dog are clearly two different beings". "So I don't feel good to hear my brothers calling themselves dogs". "As a reggae artist it is my job to uplift the youths and teach them right from wrong, that's why I do this song".

Richie Spice is also doing well with other songs such as his most recent number one hit Street Life, which is still inside the top ten of most reggae charts worldwide. He is also moving up the charts with another single titled King and Queen, which was done in tandem with Bajan soca queen Allison Hinds. King & Queen is currently number eleven on the RTV reggae chart and number twenty five on the Jamaica Music countdown reggae chart. It's accompanying music video has also registered on local music video charts such CVM TV's Hit list reggae chart where it peaked at number one a few weeks ago, Suzie Q’s Video Alley reggae top ten show which is aired on TVJ, RETV's MVP chart and the Fi Wi Choice top ten chart which also airs on TVJ.

Richie Spice is currently preparing for the Australian leg of his Universal Struggles tour during the Australian summer months of November and December. The tour begins at the end of November and will see him performing in cities such as Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Byron Bay.
