Sounie recording artist Lieutenant Brooksie is looking to take his career to higher heights with his new found success. The talented young man, who hails from Spanish Town, recently scored his first number one hit with his single titled Talk It Over on the Sounie Productions imprint. Talk It Over spent two weeks at the top of the Jamaica Music Countdown reggae chart. Lieutenant Brooksie has also found chart success abroad as Talk It Over is currently number thirteen on the US Virgin Islands reggae chart. He recently completed a six week promotional tour of the US.
Lieutenant Brookise is a graduate of the Spanish Town High School and has been in the music biz for a while now. He recorded his first single titled Thank Jah Jah in 1995 on the IRIE Vibrations Music Label. A year later, he recorded his second single titled Hottie Hottie Girls for producer Mikey Carroll of Creative Sounds. Both of these singles received moderate rotation on radio stations island-wide.
He was once a member of the Spanish town based group the Potential Crew which placed third in the J.C.D.C. popular song competition with a song titled Say It Out Loud in 2001.
