Bermuda based dancehall artist Joseph Henry aka Hype Type recently shot a music video during a visit to Jamaica for his latest single Life So Sweet, which was produced by Wayne Gordon of New York Entertainment Movement Records. The video was shot two weeks ago at various locations in Kingston and Manchester under the direction of music video director Keith Watkis. The video will be released to television stations and cable networks in Jamaica and Bermuda by the end of this month.
Over the past few years, Hype Type who is a native of Comfort district in Manchester has been travelling to Jamaica to record for label such as Truck Back Records, New York Entertainment Movement Records and J&M Productions. He has also kept himself visible in the local entertainment industry by making appearances on major events such as Sting, Saddle To The East and New York Entertainment Movement events Unity Is Strength and Western Bembe Invasion. Hype Type has also performed in Bermuda on events alongside top-flight dancehall acts such as Beenie Man, Movado, Baby Cham, Wayne Wonder and Assassin.
Hype type is currently in the process of completing his debut album, which is slated for release in the summer of 2010.
