Even though Buju Banton recently met with a group of gay leaders and activists things have not change a bit as OutAroad.com understands that the gays are still pushing hard to wreck the Gargamel career.
According to towleroad.com they quoted the Banton saying, "This is a fight, and as I said in one of my songs 'there is no end to the war between me and faggot' and it's clear. The same night after I met with them (gay associates), they pepper-sprayed the concert. So what are you trying to tell me? I owe dem nothing, they don't owe I nothing."
Banton explains that he only met with the gays because Supervisor Bevan Dufty, who is running for San Francisco Mayor, made a request:
"It is not about boxing food out my mouth, if a that I would have surrendered to the system a long time ago. The mayor of San Francisco, or the mayor-to-be, claimed that I was in his district and that it was imperative for him and his organisation to meet with me to further see what kind of personality or character (I have)."
Banton said he will continue on despite cancellations, which he added aren't hurting him: "I have two-and-a-half more weeks and let me tell you this, if a show has been cancelled or postponed by this group of people, it has been picked up and replaced in another venue. Let the struggle continue. Pray for I, don't cry for I."
Banton's L.A. show, which was initially cancelled, was rebooked on the DL. A protest was reportedly held in front of the Cabana Club last night.

The truth is that Buju is under extreme pressure from the Gays internationally who are being fed with information from the local gay groups such as JFLAG because of an incident whic took place couple years ago whereby it was alleged that Buju and his friends severely beat a group of gay guys in a house at Carlysle Avenue, near Buju's studio. In this incident, one of the gay guy was left blinded owing to the severity of the beatings. The Gays are going at lengths to destroy Buju's career and to cut his income signifcantly through cancellations of his shows all over the world. Buju badly needs the income especially since he had to split his property and assets in half with his then spouse and babymother of over 14 years - the great Lorna who filed for her portion of the various properties, estates and earnings which was accrued during their years of commonlaw relationships! A word of advice to Jamaican Artistes is to leave the Gays alone as they are a very powerful set of persons. They hold high places in corporations, conglomorates, funding agencies, politics, government, entertainment etc. The homosexual groups are very influential and they have a lot of secrets for even our own undercover gay politicians, ministers, presidents, CEO and even entertainers. Buj and the rest of Jamaican artistes, leave Gay Business alone as these peope can stop yuh food signifcantly. We are too createive to be singing about Gays, sings about the politicians and oppressors who are living off the poor like termites and getting fat salaries and not doing anything to help develop Jamaica. Reggae is a music about love and unity. There is so much more to sing about than people whose personal love choices differ from mainstream. I married a black man years ago when black and white marriages were an abomination. Twenty years later, we have shown those people who were against us, that love prevails. The gay population is still life and where there is life, there should be compassion. I despise what this one topic is doing to reggae music. It has become a distraction and contradicts the message of love and unity. Reggae music is struggling and how much better would it be for reggae artists to start the healing by taking hate lyrics out of the music. No one has to change their personal beliefs, just don't use music to promote them especially when it hurts artists, venues, publicists and reggae in general. There are much bigger battles to fight and as adults we should stay focused on the better good of the world by using word sound power to fight those larger issues.
