Canadian born dancehall artiste Shutah whose musical sound has realised a hit single Xtacy was produced by Gladiator Sound Production's (Nicko Rebel Music) based in South Florida. The style and sound presented in Xtacy by Shutah is not a totally new one, it is one which has been brought to the forefront by prominent artistes such as, Merciless and new artist Bramma among a host of others. Similarity in melodies, story line or content, will often afford a new artist such as Shutah to break easily in a market, that can prove to be "hard to stand on ones feet in", or affect them in a negative light, as the bar is set, hence he or she has to work twice as hard to reach it. However for Shutah and Gladiator Sound Production, that isn't a major concern, as Xtacy has been steadily making waves of its own, not only in Canada, but in Jamaica as well.
Xtacy is a reggae/dancehall type track, which is composed on a slow one-drop type "riddim", which presents lyrical connotations to its listeners highlighting the effects of his showers of affections on his female recipient. Ecstasy an illegal party drug, which is known to relax and incite a feeling of fun, however the comparison presented by Shutah indicates his offerings of "sweet nothings" to his "lady of destiny". Shutah show that while Ecstasy aka "E" is illegal and can be detrimental, he offers Xtacy - a legal emotionally potent drug, only bearing positive benefits.
Shutah anticipates that Xtacy will become a female favourite that is highly suited for the dancehall, mature audiences. Along with his management team, who are working assiduously locally and internationally to provide the right kind of Xtacy to the females.
