While on their recently concluded US Tour dancehall heavyweights TOK wasted no time in getting work done. The platinum selling group was busy in the studio recording with multi-platinum R&B singer Kelly Price. They recorded not one, but two tracks with the talented songstress.
The recordings which took place in LA include the brand new track tearing up local airwaves, titled "Bonafide". This single was produced by Beatzgalore out of New York and will be featured on TOK's new album "Our World". The other single is titled "Good for You", and will be released on Kelly's own upcoming album.
The group has also been keeping busy locally. Last weekend they took a break from the studio and headed to Jamaica's West Coast where they were the headlining act for a Spring Break performance in Negril.
Hundreds of spring-breakers turned up to witness the spectacle that was TOK - The Spring Break Edition, resulting in a sold out show at the Jungle Night Club.
In other TOK news, the talented group are gearing up to host the latest addition to the weekly dancehall event lineup. This time around, they’re taking it to Portmore.
XCAR Promotions in association with Bombrush Records presents TOK's 'Toll-Free' Series.
Though the dates are still being confirmed, it is expected that the group will host a weekly event in Portmore, with music provided by Crazy Dean and Scientist (from Fresh Fridays) and Little Richie, along with a guest selector/sound every week.
Ladies will enter free of charge, with men paying $300. But as the name suggests once you pay the toll to come to the party, present your toll ticket at the gate and you will be given a $100 discount.
Patrons should expect lots of giveaways, surprise performances, dancers and celebrities each week, so keep your eyes and ears open for the 'Toll-Free' launch date.
