Letter To The Editor
Good Morning Mr. President (Elect) - Mr. Barack Obama. President of the World!! I am not American. I am Jamaican but it fills me with absolute pride & joy to be a part of this great day in history. This victory is not just America's but also the World as a whole. American politics has long infiltrated the affairs of the world & so we all celebrate. From every 'nook & cranny', we say THANKS for this great CHANGE.
The rise of an African-American as President not only gives young & upcoming generations confidence and a new outlook on American politics as it has been known for over 200 years, but it also gives a sense of liberation to Black people all over who have fought for many years for this dream to become a reality.
It gives hope to people of colour everywhere. It gives solace to realize that America is now turning it's eyes away from colour and now to progression.
Many of us thought we'd never see this day but it is now here. Our children & our children’s children will now know of an America that chose a man of colour for President.
YES WE CAN... and YES HE DID!!!!
There will finally be a Black Man in the White House!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hopefully this will set in motion, similar practices for other countries in the world whose political trends are similar to those of the America we once knew... namely the United Kingdom.
I celebrate the change but more importantly, I celebrate America's 1st Black President.

I hope the americans show obama respect by changing the name of the white house to black house, obama you did us proud. It takes more than wisdom, understanding and knowledge. It took bravery most of all after seeing what happened to Martin Luther King and John Kennedy

Obama because he had every race on his side.
Obama is half white he has a white mum and white grandparents so he got alot of votes from the white side, black side, spanish sides, asian side, mixed side..etc. Alot of McCain's voters were white..that's why he lost ! And I want Obama to bring the U.S. troops back to the U.S. Bush father start war and now Obama need to wrap it up and bring the troops back to there families in the U.S.

Yes, Obama is the new elected president of the global Hip hop and yes not forgetting Hip hops brother Reggae, generation here in America, all colors, all races, came thru together, yes we did. I just have to say that this was truly an historic day in the US when BARACK OBAMA won the president elect.....a Black president???!!!! damn right, yes we did! This man deserve the presidency more than anything, he's sexy, supersmart, full of swagger,appeal, goodlooking, caring, and such a great role model. Can u imagine that this is the same America where years ago black ppl couldnt even sit where they want to on a bus, or drink from certain water fountain, go certain places or do certain things? Knowing that 61% of his votes came from WHITE folks, thats just so amazing. I guess most white ppl have become civilized and ready to accept change. I just love this new unity! Its the bomb like tic! tic! Go OBAMA! OBAMA! OBAMA! OBAMA!
