It was just yesterday a warrant issued for the arrest of Dancehall artiste Beenie Man. However, that warrant is no longer valid as Beenie Man’s tax evasion trial was thrown out of court earlier today. According to judge Owen Parkin, the evidence was not enough for the case to continue and he was also not informed by the Jamaican authorities of his legal rights.

Now that Beenie Man is cleared of all charges, he has vowed to make sure his taxes are paid on time and in full.

According to his publicist, Ray Alexander the deejay shouted in court, “Rastafari” - giving thanks to God for getting this heavy load off his head.

Once again, a warrant has been issued for the arrest of Dancehall superstar Beenie Man after he failed to appear in court yesterday for the trial of his Tax evasion case.

According to be Beenie Man’s publicist Ray Alexander the deejay had a show in St. Ann that ended in the wee hours of the morning. By the time he woke up it was already too late for him to make it to court on time.

The matter was adjourned - but if Beenie Man fails to show up today (September 30, 2008) for the continuation of his $48 million tax evasion case he will definitely be arrested.

This new single has the incarcerated Deva Brat thinking if he’s still a member of the Portmore Empire. But, according to reports the Portmore Empire will not align itself with persons (artistes) involved in exploitation of women or carnal abuse offences.

OutAroad.com tried several times to get in touch with the big man (Vybz Kartel) but was unsuccessful. However, we later managed to squeezed a few information from a source who’s close to the Empire.

“It’s not a %100 true that Deva Brat is no longer a member of the Portmore Empire. The members are just saying that if he’s guilty then his membership will be terminated. I know the members are hoping for the best because it could have been one of them in Deva’s position,” the source explained to OutAroad.com

Deva Brat has been incarcerated since mid February. According to police reports on February 4, a 14-year-old girl, who is known to him, was walking by Smith’s house in Portmore, when he stopped her. The police added that he invited her into his house where he assaulted her. Deva Brat has vehemently denied these allegations.

Just weeks after posting a viral video online displaying his vast collection of jewelry, rapper Sean Kingston has reportedly lost a lot of his bling in the mail.

According to TMZ, Kingston -- known for his hit song "Beautiful Girls -- recently lost $500,000 worth of jewelry after attempting to mail several pieces from Los Angeles to New York.

Sources say that the rapper had his sister overnight, via FedEx, his jewelry to his jeweler in New York. However, when the package arrived a day late, the jewelry was missing from the box.

To make matters worse, his sister insured the expensive pieces for just $500, considerably less than what they are worth.

TMZ reports that the L.A. County Sheriff's Department is currently investigating the case.

At press time, calls to Kingston's camp were not returned.

Kanye West will not be charged with a felony over his arrest on suspicion of vandalism earlier this month.

The hip-hop star was detained at Los Angeles international airport on September 11th after allegedly smashing a photographer's camera.

However, the 31-year-old's offence is not being considered a felony, the Los Angeles country district attorney's office has said.

Instead, the Stronger star may face a possible misdemeanour charge, according to spokesman Frank Mateljan.

Footage of the incident was made public by the celebrity website TMZ.com and appears to show West and his bodyguard grab and then smash a photographer's camera as made their way through the airport.

West and his road manager, Don Crawley, 32, were both arrested and subsequently freed on bail.

An airport spokesman told the BBC after the incident that the camera in question was valued at $10,000 (£5,709).

Popular Bembe selector Rolexx has heard that artiste Fanton Mojah is looking for him but the reason remains unclear.

Rolexx went to a studio in Kingston yesterday to voice dub plates with Movado when he was told by fellow selectors Foota Hype and Cutty from Copper Shot that Fanton Mojah and his entourage had been to the same studio the same day looking for Rolexx and making threats. When asked for the reason the persons present at the studio did not get an answer from the artiste but he instead continued with his threats to harm the selector when he would find him.

Rolexx is a seasoned selector and he says that he is definitely not afraid of Fanton Mojah or his entourage and he is not hard to find on the road. Rolexx says "I am a like stop light on green, on the go, so I am easy to find." Rolexx and Fanton Mojah have never had any form of confrontation before and there was always a good vibe between the selector and the artiste in the past. Rolexx would like to know the reason for the artiste's behaviour as he has not seen the artiste around in a long time. Rolexx continues to state that "artistes should not diss selectors cause we a build dem now." Rolexx says further that he will just continue to play music and nothing and nobody can stop him from doing his thing.

I really don’t know why I am writing this letter because I used to think that only lame a*s people do this kind of stuff, but I have found myself in a really sticky situation and I need some unbiased advice. I am a Jamaican who currently lives in the United States. I have an identical twin sister who I share an apartment with. We go to the same university but study different major.

The problem started when I met this really cute guy at school during orientation week. We started talking when he approached me and asked me something about the major I was doing and we discovered we were studying the same thing. I was so excited and I told my sister as soon as I saw her. She seemed a bit jealous when I told her but I thought it was just because she was scared that I would no longer have time for her.

After a couple of days, we started dating and everybody would stare at us in the mall because we were always all over each other. We went everywhere together and we did all our assignments together. I even stayed at his dorm a few nights, which made my sister mad, but I didn’t care. I really started to feel for this guy.

My sister became more and more miserable as my new relationship blossomed, but I paid it no mind because I thought that she was just being a bit jealous. One day when I came home and we were alone, she made a shocking confession to me. She told me that she tricked my man and fuc**d him behind my back. I was so hurt and upset that I left the apartment for a week and went to stay with one of my girlfriends. I knew that there was something wrong with her, but I really did not expect her to do something like this. I stopped talking to my boyfriend at first, but then I started to wonder if I should really blame him. People have always confused me for my sister and vice versa. I am still mad at my sister because I know she only did it to get my attention, but I am hurt because I feel like I will never be more than ‘two of a kind’ to anybody. An Atlanta judge yesterday (September 22) ordered T.I. to pay more child support to the mother of two of his children after she claimed he wasn't providing enough money.

As reported earlier, Lashon Dixon took T.I. to court earlier this month claiming that the monthly payments of $2000 that she received from the rapper wasn't enough to support her and their two sons.

According to The Associated Press, Judge Bensonetta Tipton ruled Tuesday that T.I. must pay just over $3,000 a month to Dixon.

The Atlanta bred rapper was also ordered to pay for the children's private school tuition, uninsured medical bills and extracurricular activities.

Thirteen years old, Shermonique Ivy strutted her way down the runways at the Hilton Kingston Hotel, as it recently staged the annual Caribbean Model Search (CMS) Competition.

But when has it become the ‘norm’ to have little thirteen year-old girls parading themselves in front of mature audiences in scantily clad apparel?

Surely, it may be argued that it is a formal event not intended to have any sort of sexualized connotations. Tell that to a pedophile waiting to ogle at their prepubescent little frames strutting up and down the runway. Surely she may “act mature for her age” as quoted by a representative who answered the phone when the Pulse group was contacted. Therefore, I guess it is safe to assume it’s okay to rob our children of their innocence as long as we can cash in on their abilities. But, isn’t this robbing our little girls of their childhood? Picking the fruit too early? Or maybe our society bent on blighting our children’s future by deliberately imposing on them the responsibilities of
adulthood?

Dancehall artistes Munga also known as the Gangsta Ras and the lyrical genius Aidonia were two of the hottest artistes last year ripping up the airwaves and the dancehall circuits. However, in the first quarter of 2008 that hype slowly faded away.

One of the things that these two artistes have in common is that fans are anxiously waiting for them to make a monstrous come back. A lot of persons were anticipating that they would have been hot for the summer, but the summer hype went to the Energy god Elephant Man with his usual dancing antics with songs such as ‘Nuh Linga’, ‘Gully Creeper’ and ‘Sweep’. But what really placed the icing on the ‘summer hype cake’ for Elephant Man was when the world’s fastest man on earth Usain Bolt did the ‘Nuh Linga’ and ‘Gully Creeper’ after breaking his own world record at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing (China).

Even though both Munga and Aidonia were not at their uttermost best, they still had songs ripping up the dancehall. Munga with ‘Rise My Own’ and Adonia with ‘Want Fi F**k Yuh’. Personally, I think these two artistes will once again become hot commodities for this coming Christmas season as I have done a few rounds to various studios listening to tracks soon to be release by Munga and Aidonia. So far, Aidonia can be defined as the favourite of the two because most of Aidonia’s tracks that I heard are now out and creating a havoc in the dancehall. Songs such as ‘Bruise Up Di P*ssy Jaw’, and the overnight hit single ‘Daggering’ that quickly attached its self like glue to the ladies in its first week of rotation especially at RTI weekend, Negril. If Aidonia can continue on this same path or better, he will definitely be a contender for Sting 08.

Reggae icon Cocoa Tea, the originator of the singjay style of the 1980s and 1990s, is in the spotlight again with two songs geared towards the United States presidential elections. Barack Obama has been bubbling for months on the radio and youtube among reggae fans young and old as well as music fans in general, and Yes We Can is the brand new non-partisan follow up.

"This is not about class nor color, race nor creed," Cocoa Tea sings on Barack Obama. "It's about the changes… Americans need." The song’s message has caught the attention of a generation of listeners as well as media outlets worldwide. Coverage from Kingston Jamaica to New York, including ABC News, The Boston Globe, CNN and FOX News, to name just a few, has introduced the veteran to a host of new fans.

Yes We Can is a rootsy, non-partisan plea for all classes, colors, races and creeds to come together and demonstrates that despite their differences people can come together across both party lines and international boundaries. “Yes we can, don’t let them tell us that we can’t… Democrats and Republicans, let me hear you say, yes we can yes we can…”

THE new hit-making force in Jamaican music doesn’t live in the steamy downtown ghettos Bob Marley made famous but on a leafy residential road high on a hill here, in the upscale neighborhood Havendale, St. Andrews. Just 18, Stephen McGregor, also known as Di Genius, is a member of one of reggae’s reigning families: the clan of the veteran singer Freddie McGregor.

Big iron gates slowly swing open to reveal a yard with a raised, shaded area designed for playing dominoes. Inside a large villa narrow wooden stairs behind the living room lead up to Big Ship Studio, named after Freddie’s 1981 worldwide hit. With its richly colored walls hung with framed awards and its big black leather couch, Big Ship feels like a cozy clubhouse outfitted with huge speakers and a mixing desk. Here Stephen, who is known as the studio’s Captain, swivels around in an office chair, punctuating a chat by flicking a fader and unleashing yet another monster hit like Sean Paul’s “Watch Dem Roll” and “Always on My Mind,” his collaboration with Da’Ville.

Also in the room are Stephen’s brother Daniel, 25, a popular lyricist and rapper known professionally as Chino, and his sister Yeshemabeth (also known as Shema), 29, an up-and-coming singer. Stephen produces them both.

Canadian rapper Kardinal Offishall joined forces with Jamaican dancehall pop star Sean Paul, R&B prince Akon and Twista for the remix of Kardinal's Billboard hit single "Dangerous".

Kardinal told www.prefixmag.com, "I basically spent the summer getting "Dangerous" out of my head and now this remix gets released. The first official remix for the first single off Kardinal Offishall's Not 4 Sale adds Sean Paul and Twista.

The original version always felt more like an Akon single than a Kardinal song, this one doesn't seem like anyone's track in particular. Regardless, my guilty pleasure track of the year gets re-energized and I'm sure that people will be acting stupid across clubs everywhere to this song.

Simply put, Morgan Heritage is taking on the world… and in a huge way. Assiduous and feverishly focused, the group, which comprises the children of Reggae singer, Denroy Morgan, is on a mission. Actually, their most recent CD is entitled Mission In Progress, but it could equally have been named Mission Being Accomplished.

Quite an easy-going set of Rastafarians, Morgan Heritage has refrained from the condemnatory 'bun dis and bun dat' kind of livity dear to the heart of some of their fellow Rastafari singers (and deejays). It was they who made people stop, look and listen when they offered the insightful "You Don't Affi Dread To Be Rasta, it is not a dreadlocks ting divine conception from the heart". It was on June 15 that Heritage kicked off their 'World Tour' - with the emphasis on the word 'world'. Apparently worked out with mathematical precision, the tour of the world runs over into next year, with some hard to imagine continental juggling occurring over the period. For example, their US leg of the tour (June 15 to August 2) also saw them leaving North American continent to travel to Europe for one show only. But that, according to the affable Una, the lone female in the group, represented an opportunity of a lifetime.

"It's one of the biggest festivals in Europe… for 300,000 people… called Parkpop. We performed alongside Sheryl Crow, Jason Mraz, along with a host of other rock, pop, hip-hop and world music artistes," she said.

‘The original DJ’ Shaggy has revealed that he wants to collaborate with Robbie Williams and Britney Spears.

The singer, who is famous for ‘Mr Boombastic’, said he wanted to take both performers out of their comfort zone.

Rihanna spent her time as a teenager in Barbados getting drunk with her friends -- but insists she never "went over the top" like Amy Winehouse.

"I'd go out and get drunk, but that's what teenage girls do in Barbados," the singer, 20, says of her rebellious phase at the age 14.

Following Beenie Man's interview with Sarah C of Vibes 93.8 FM a story that was also posted on OutAroad.com about a month ago, in which Beenie Man stated that he part produced and wrote Tanto Metro Devonte’s mega hit single ‘Everyone Falls In Love’. Sarah C was recently contacted by Dimmie Joe Muzic, management for Tanto Metro & Devonte, who whole-heartedly refute Beenie Man's claim that he wrote and partly produced the song. STUTTGART, Germany (AFP) - Jamaica's Asafa Powell leapt to the defence of compatriot and sprint sensation Usain Bolt here on Saturday after ex-Olympic champion Carl Lewis questioned Bolt's performances in Beijing.

With Bolt resting back in Jamaica, Powell again dipped below ten seconds to win the 100m at the World Athletics Final on Saturday then said he was disappointed with comments made by Lewis in the United States.

After Bolt won three gold medals and set three world records in Beijing, Lewis said anyone who did not question the sudden improvements in the champions' performances was a 'fool'.

"Yes, I am disappointed with the words of a former athlete," said Powell, who finished fifth in the 100m Olympic final but was part of the Jamaican team that smashed the 4x100m relay world record.

"Usain (Bolt) did better than all the other athletes before him and yet he (Lewis) does not manage to believe in him.

"What Usain did does not shock me, because I know how much talent he has and this is the first year he has devoted his training to the 100m."

Powell was responding after Lewis, who won four gold medals at the 1984 Olympics, told Sports Illustrated: "When people ask me about Bolt I say he could be the greatest athlete of all time.

"But to run 10.03 seconds one year and 9.69 the next, if you don't question that in a sport with the reputation it has right now, you're a fool. Period."

ATLANTA - The mother of two of rapper T.I.'s children has sued him for more child support, claiming she needs more than the $2,000 a month he is providing.

Lashon Dixon, 29, and T.I., 27, have known each other since they were teens and dated before he became a superstar rapper. Their boys are ages 7 and 8.

Dixon said she wants a court to order a stipend that reflects the rapper's success. A telephone call and email to T.I.'s publicist at Atlantic Records was not immediately returned Thursday.

T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris, is serving 1,000 hours of community service and will afterward serve a year in prison on federal weapons charges.

He also has two sons with his fiancee, Tameka "Tiny" Cottle, of the defunct R&B group Xscape. The couple also had a daughter who died shortly after childbirth in 2007.

The proposed concerts will be in celebration of Forbes,s forty seventh (47) anniversary in the music fraternity and to celebrate the release of the much anticipated book "REGGAE MY LIFE IS” written by Clyde McKenzie which is slated for release February 2009 to co-inside with Reggae month celebrations. The veteran manager Forbes said that he have signed contracts and made a few deals and arrangements to stage four concerts in that region. The first one will be in Koh Samui an island off the coast of Bankok and will feature reggae queen Marcia Griffiths along with the Live Wyya Band who will do a one month stint at Bankok’s famous club for reggae music "The Reggae Pub" a 4000 capacity venue owned and operated by promoter Lersak Ubolsatit who has been celebrating Bob Marley’s Earthday since 1988 and vowed to make the twenty first (21) anniversary celebrations the biggest ever.

Well I don't know where to begin. I am crying and shaking right now. To tell you a little background on my relationship. I am a27 year old female, and I am dating a 37 year old man. We have been together for 2 1/2 years and he has a 7-year-old daughter that I get a long great with. A few weeks ago, he had a day off work to go golfing. When I got home from work, I always get on the computer to check my email but this time he had forgotten to sign off the computer. It was on a website called horny matches and didn’t want to be nosy so I signed off. I was curious though, so I wrote down his screen name to check into it later. Later that night I told him "thanks for the nude picks on the computer” his face got a little weird look and he laughed it off. A few days later, I just had to see what his profile said on that website, so I looked. To my surprise, it says he is bi-curious and would like to meet another couple. I wanted to see how far he would go with this, so I made a fake profile to his exact wants - a couple looking for bi-male for fun. I winked at him a couple times, and he fell for it and emailed this fake profile.

He said he was interested and would like to meet sometime. (OH my goodness - he wasn't supposed to email them). I decided I would email back, seeing how far he would actually go. I emailed saying "we" were interested in him too and when would he like to meet. He emailed back, asking if this Saturday would work for us.

It so happens that I was going to be out of town with family that same coming weekend, so I won't be around. He wasn't really supposed to email this fake profile. I am heartbroken!! What should I do? We are living together, and this is the first time that I was planning to leave the house overnight without him. That jerk, the one time I leave and he is making plans to cheat on me. I thought since he was emailing this "other" couple I would ask questions about him, pretending "we" wanted to get to know him better. I asked if he has ever been with another couple and if he has had any experience with a man. He answered no to being with another couple, but yes, he has given oral to a man. I also asked what is fantasies were - he answered by saying that "he wants to be with another couple." He then asked the fake couple if the boyfriend was bisexual. I am so sick to my stomach because I didn't see any signs of this.

He has on Wednesday, Sept 3 made an appearance for a brief hearing at Fishkill Town Court to ask a judge to grant his request for a jury trial in relation with his earlier fan-tossing case. Now, fans can expect a video for the single, which is heating up airwaves around the world, and on the Internet - having found favour with radio disc jocks in the region, internationally and on the Internet.

"I'm not one to give up," she says, before adding that she decided to do a video for Stronger "because it is such an inspirational song and, it's a very true message, and I wanted to share it with as much people as possible."

D'Angel, who last month paid tribute to the stellar performance the Jamaican Olympic Team put on at the Beijing Olympics, will be shooting the video later this month.

She promises fans just as good a quality video as Blaze was. "Blaze was a great video, Stronger will build on that," she says.

All eyes were on Beyoncé Friday night, when, for the first time, the singer publicly displayed her engagement ring on the red carpet for Fashion Rocks at Radio City Music Hall in N.Y.C.

The singer, 27, who secretly married rapper Jay-Z in April, flashed an 18 carat flawless diamond by Lorraine Schwartz, valued at more than $5 million dollars, according to the jeweler.

Neither Beyoncé nor Jay-Z have publicly confirmed their marriage but in recent weeks, Beyoncé’s younger sister Solange referred to Jay-Z as her brother-in-law during a television interview.

Later in the evening, Beyoncé took off the ring for a performance where she donned a short, blonde wig in tribute to blues singer Etta James whom she portrays in an upcoming movie.

Rapper Sean Kingston admits that he has recorded new singles with Polow Da Don for his second album.

Jamaican American singer and rapper Sean Kingston is on the way of releasing his sophomore effort. In a video blog, Sean Kingston says that he has just recorded four new songs which will later appear on his upcoming second set.

Unfortunately, the title and content of the album are still kept as a top secret. The rapper also refuses to give further information about the release date of his upcoming album and his new singles. He just said that the singles that he has been currently working on are handled in a capable hand of producer Polow Da Don.

Beside recording his new album, Sean has also recently gone to studio to help rap peer Bun B. They have teamed up in Bun B's new song called "That's Gangsta". The song appears as first single in Bun B's latest album "II Trill', which has been dropped to stores on May 20.

The Konvict artiste Akon is to appear in court on December 1, 2008 to stand trial for throwing a teenage fan off stage in the audience.

Akon was performing at the annual KFEST concert in June 2008, New York. Apparently, someone from the audience threw something at the singer. Akon then asked the audience to help him find the attacker - the 15-year-old was then escorted to the stage. Most of whom in the audience were expecting a mild reaction from Akon - instead he lifted the boy into the air and tossed him in the crowd.

Europe - Ultimate Reggae entertainer Moses 'Beenie Man' Davies continues to prove to the world why he is dubbed the 'doctor' and 'king of the dancehall' during his recent tour of Europe.

European fans have described Beenie Man's performances as "fantastic and energizing." Deejay Garrison Hawk was recently chosen to be featured alongside 35 other artistes as part of Coca-Cola's worldwide Coke Rewards campaign and his song, Sweet Music, has been one of the top five most downloaded songs in the promotion.
Quite excited at the way things have turned out, the deejay says this success is in no way fleeting. His previous single, Gangsta Roll, had nudged him onto the world stage - the song reached #9 on the Hype TV top 20 chart and the track received radio airplay in Jamaica as well as in Europe, Japan, London, New York, and Miami.

When a club remix of Sweet Music leaked, it hit #11 on the UK pop charts. The song has also been featured in the video game Tropico:Caribbean Sims, which has sold several million copies worldwide.
However, prior to all of the acclaim, some of Hawk's tunes wound up in the hands of legendary reggae producers Sly & Robbie as well as the heads of A&R at Warner Brothers UK. Hawk wanted to take his songs and record them in a new style - one taken from his experiences in growing up in Jamaica and New York and touring Europe and Asia. Warner Bros loved his vision and signed Hawk almost instantly. I am a regular reader of your column and would love to encourage you to keep up the good work you are doing. I am 22yrs old and just finished a Bsc Degree in Marketing at an American university.

Ever since going to high school I have been a great football fan going to every schoolboy football games that I could. I didn’t believe however that I would fall so crazily in love with a football player. I always told myself that I would never date one because I think they are mostly womanizers. To my surprise and misfortune I met this guy that I have been dating for the last 4 years, he plays for Jamaica but lives in England as he's contracted on a major team there.

At first, he tried so hard to convince me that he was different, I introduced him to my family and he introduced me to his. There are women constantly calling my phone from Jamaican area codes as well as England area codes shortly after he leaves each location and he says it is a stalker girl from England that likes him but he told her he's with me and she makes her friends in Jamaica call me when she knows he's there. He also justifies it by saying I should expect that because he is a well-known footballer.

He paid my rent while I was in college and was a major financial support for me, he constantly tells me that I am going to leave him when I accomplish my Degree, and frankly I think I am. I have put up with his cheating for much too long and he always uses the relationship I have with his family as a ploy for us to stay together. I am so depressed and his constant cheating has forced me to study harder and I am graduating with honors and made the Dean’s list and at this point in my life I think enough is enough and I can’t take it anymore and I am leaving.

Lil Wayne missed a court date in Yuma County, Arizona, on Tuesday (August 26) because he was recovering from root-canal operations.

The ‘Lollipop’ rapper was scheduled to appear to face drug and weapons charges following his arrest on January 22 (2008), when his tour bus was stopped at a border patrol checkpoint.

Authorities found 105 grams (3.7 ounces) of marijuana, 29 grams (1 ounce) of cocaine, 41 grams (1.45 ounces) of ecstasy, a .40 calibre pistol, and more than $22,000 in cash on board the bus.

Attorney James Tilson told the Yuma Sun (via MTV) that the rapper, born Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., was recovering from oral surgery from several root canal operations and was instructed not to fly by his dentist.

“As a result,” Tilson explains. “The court waived his appearance for that hearing. He still must appear at future hearings.”

Carter has pleaded not guilty to all charges with the next court date set for October 9.
