An overwhelming burst of energy ripped through the Jungle Nightclub, Negril this morning as the fast rising Konshens and the ‘Energy God’ himself, Elephant Man, turned the place upside down.
Konshens was in a no nonsense mood. He came onstage after an extended wait that saw Black Chiney unleashing some hard hitting songs. Their stint behind the turntables was well appreciated as they dropped some dub plates that awoken the sometimes sleepily crowd that has been partying all day long.
The momentum climbed suddenly after girl group MBC left the stage and Konshens was introduced. He came onstage singing the hit single Winner, before warming the crowd with his fairly young but effective music catalogue. For the song Clap It he asked for three females onstage, however it was not forthcoming as they though his ‘young artiste $10,000 reward’ was not enough. Konshens also did Rasta Imposter, Dance Down, Woman Ago Kill Mi, and capped off his high energy performance with a song for his mother that was well received by the audience.
Elephant Man took the stage by storm. He came out on a high singing several singles from the earlier part of his solo career. The ‘Energy God’ grabbed the attention of the patrons with some tantalizing dance moves that added body to his intriguing performance.
He soon got into his current groove doing the Nuh Linga and Gully Creepa, before informing the patrons that he is no longer Elephant Man but ‘Broomy’ as he ‘swayed’ for them. Ele then addressed bad minded people, the issue with homosexuality and the females as the patrons begged for more.

Laud Konshens....do betta dan dat nuh darlin..u cudn't get one a dem wid di summa body fi cum pon stage anyways i glad 2 see Konshenz doing him ting at all these shows/parties!!!!

outaroad unnuh artiste a gwaan good though. Mi hear some a him dub dem a Fully Loaded and dem did soun' good. Mi neva deh yah fi di Negril Weekend but mi hear seh dem did have some wicked Konshens dub
