Two men have been indicted on murder and assault charges in connection with the death of rapper T.I.'s close friend Philant Johnson. The rapper was attending an afterparty following a performance at Bogart's nightclub in Cincinnati, OH in May 2006, when two men opened fire on his van - killing Johnson and injuring three other members of the star's entourage.
Pardon Thomas, 40 and Hosea Thomas, 34, were arrested in connection with the killing and were indicted on Thursday on several charges relating to the incident.
Johnson, who was 26, went to school with T.I. - real name Clifford Joseph Harris - and was an integral part of his recording career, according to Allhiphop.
Harris pleaded guilty in March to federal weapons charges and was sentenced to a year in prison, three years of supervised home detention, 1,500 hours of community service and a $100,000 fine.
