Konshens’s encouraging words - “This year mi affi be di winna,” led the Reggae Boyz to 7-0 victory over a weak Bahamian line up last weekend at the National Stadium. This is Konshens first major appearance which will be one to remember as the DJ opened for the Reggae Boyz in their first World Cup qualifying match.
Even though Konshens performed his hit single “Winna” at the beginning of the game Renaissance sound system “pop off di tune again,” at half time reminding the Reggae Boyz that they will be “di winna”.
I-Octane was also in the building and had the audience jumping to his hit joint ‘Stab Vampire’. The lyrical Assassin was next who definitely turned the Stadium up-side down, especially when he belted out his mega hit single ‘Some Boy Nuh Want Nuh Gal’.

"Reggae Boys" is not an appropriate name for a football team; it sound more like a reggae band; "Jamaica Football Team" would be more appropriate. Just an observation, as people here in New York are ridiculing the name.
