As the artist walked free, news came out that ODPEM would be using him to raise awareness among the population, about the dangers of polluting gullies.

The officials at the office are apparently impressed with Mavado’s huge popularity and influence over the young dancehall crowd, and were even more convinced to use him because of his title the ‘Gully God’.

According to the reports, he’ll be used to voice a series of Public Service Announcements criticizing the pollution of gullies as well as asking people to dispose of their waste properly.

These developments should come as welcome news for Mavado fans, who were holding their collective breaths because of the court case, and who were disappointed because of his visa problems which were related to the case.
