One Bailed, One in Jail….Deva Bratt and Mavado Head To Court In May

Dancehall stars Deva Bratt and Mavado are heading back to court in May, but only one will get to leave prison walls this weekend.
Mavado was granted 200,000 dollars bail when he appeared in court this morning, but Deva Bratt had no such luck during his appearance in court yesterday. He was remanded until May 1st.
Both deejays are facing serious charges of a very different nature. Mavado faces charges of shooting with intent and illegal possession of firearm, while Deva Bratt is charged with carnal abuse.
OutAroad.com understands that Deva Bratt, whose real name is Sheldon Smith has been incarcerated since mid February. Yesterday was his second attempt at bail. The police allege that on February four, a 14 year old girl who is known to him was walking by his house in Portmore, when he stopped her and talked to her. The police claim that he invited her into the house where he assaulted her. Deva Bratt has denied these allegations.
His dancehall colleague Movado, has been accused by the police of being involved with a shooting that took place along Manning’s Hill road in July last year. He had been taken in for questioning about the matter back then but was released. When he showed up for questioning this week, he was arrested and hit with the charges.
Now that he is on bail, he is to return to court in late May.

Regardless if you are a celeb,rich, poor etc. Justice must be served. Unless your lapsided brain hasn't thought through thus far...ridiculous!
@ GHETTO YOUTHS inc. While I agree Ja justice system is needs some serious ammending you cannot seriously beleive that a child being raped is less traumatic than being shot at, just think about it..would you rather be raped or shot at?

Deva Bratt lawyer never showed up to court on the day. Thats why him bail couldnt get process.
