Five sex questions with Alibra

alibra_jamaica_singer_reggae.jpgOutAroad.com:
What’s your all time favourite sex position & why?

Alibra:
My all time favourite is the Missionary - this might sounds boring to others but for me it’s the most intimate position because I like to stare in my partner’s eyes to see his reaction.

OutAroad.com:
What was it like having sex for the first time?

Alibra:
At first I was curious, but when I actually found my self in the position it became scary and painful.

OutAroad.com:
If you had one wish to make love in a public place where it be?

Alibra:
I always fantasized of making love in an elevator or in the restroom of a plane - just the thought of getting caught makes it exciting and adventurous.

"I was focused and determined" - Pressure

pressure_singer_reggae-dancehall.jpgBorn Delyno Brown in the US Virgin Islands, Pressure was exposed to music at a young age due to his father being a member of a popular local band. He started playing drums and trumpet at age 9, but it wasn't until age 12 that he developed a passion for singing. Pressure linked with the talented Dean Pond and Eno Stafford of Studio 340. Together they produced and released his debut album, The Pressure Is On, on the Tsuni Records label. With hit tunes on the album such as Zion Is Home, No Limitation and Light In You, it is no surprise that he garnered the attention of internationally renowned producer, Don Corleon. Corleon received his copy from Pond. Corleon admits wholeheartedly that he "kept listening to the CD" and he put his best foot forwards and got in contact with Pressure.

Breakthrough with the talented and beautiful Brick & Lace

brick_andlace_%26_jamaicanphotos.jpgThe musical upsurge of the uncompromisingly expressive sibling duo, Brick and Lace, commanded the attention of millions as they released their blockbuster single Love is Wicked on Akon’s Kon Live Distribution and Geffen Record Label last year. The infectious dancehall beats mixed with the smoothness of R&B has produced a unique semi-urban sound that only they can perfect.

Born and raised predominantly in Kingston, the video vixens Nialah and Nyanda Thorbourne were destined to have a career in music as their mother sang in a choir and their father was a professional gospel musician. Not surprisingly their first few performances were in church. However their pursuit of gospel music was not a serious one as they confess that their influence came from “Whitney Houston to Bob Marley to more contemporary acts such as TLC and Mary J.Blige mixed with dancehall”

The stylistically edgy Nyanda and versatile vocalist Nailah create distinctive melodic sounds with a hybrid effect that they so eloquently deliver at each performance. Their dynamic performances have made a lasting impression as they received the Jamaica Academy Awards for Best Performance by Group /Duo. Their lyrical chops, which have been honed by their experience with writing songs with the likes of Janet Jackson, Parish Hilton, Nicole Scherzinger (of the Pussy Cat Dolls) as well as, writing/co-writing all the songs on their album, are evidence of their composing prowess.

Mavado out on bail - Deva Bratt remanded

One Bailed, One in Jail….Deva Bratt and Mavado Head To Court In May

By: Secret Agent
OutAroad.com Writer

mavado_devabratt_court_jail_jamaica.jpg

Dancehall stars Deva Bratt and Mavado are heading back to court in May, but only one will get to leave prison walls this weekend.

Mavado was granted 200,000 dollars bail when he appeared in court this morning, but Deva Bratt had no such luck during his appearance in court yesterday. He was remanded until May 1st.

Both deejays are facing serious charges of a very different nature. Mavado faces charges of shooting with intent and illegal possession of firearm, while Deva Bratt is charged with carnal abuse.

OutAroad.com understands that Deva Bratt, whose real name is Sheldon Smith has been incarcerated since mid February. Yesterday was his second attempt at bail. The police allege that on February four, a 14 year old girl who is known to him was walking by his house in Portmore, when he stopped her and talked to her. The police claim that he invited her into the house where he assaulted her. Deva Bratt has denied these allegations.

Hip-Hop superstar Remy Ma convicted of shooting woman

remy_ma_hotphoto.jpgGrammy-nominated rapper Remy Ma shed tears yesterday in a Manhattan courtroom after she was found guilty of shooting a woman in front of a nightclub last year.

According to nytimes.com Remy Ma lawyer pleaded, “It was a case of betrayal by a member of her entourage, Remy Smith’s lawyer told the jury. They swam in her pool, borrowed her free designer clothes, used her fame as a hip-hop artist to promote their own music.

And this was how she was repaid, he said: One of them robbed her of $3,000 in cash.

In a tug-of-war over a purse she believed contained the missing cash, Ms. Smith - who clawed her way up from homelessness to become Remy Ma, a Grammy-nominated rapper - accidentally shot the woman, Makeda Barnes Joseph, in the abdomen, the lawyer, Ivan S. Fisher, told a jury in Supreme Court in Manhattan.

But the jury rejected that celebrity victim defense on Thursday. After a two-week trial, the jury convicted Ms. Smith, 26, of intentional assault, which can be punished by up to 25 years in prison. The jury acquitted Ms. Smith of charges of intimidating a witness in the case.

Dancehall Artiste Mavado Arrested Last Night

It seems Movado’s past just won’t leave him alone.

By: Secret Agent
OutAroad.com Writer

Mavado_arrested_photosalliance.jpgOutAroad.com understands that the fast rising dancehall star has again run into trouble with the law. Movado was arrested last night (March 26) and slapped with some serious charges that bring lengthy jail time behind them if he’s ever convicted.

He was charged with two counts of shooting with intent and illegal possession of a firearm, based on an incident dating back to July last year. The artist showed up for questioning last night, and following the interview, he was thrown into a cell. It’s unclear at this time at which police station he is being held.

That incident took place on Manning’s Hill Road in St. Andrew. It was alleged at that time that Movado was a witness to a shooting there. The police had alleged at that time that Mavado and associates went to a bar on Manning’s Hill Road where an altercation developed with another man. The police claim that weapons were drawn and shots fired at the man. Movado had been questioned by the police, but was released without charge. Now it seems the police have got enough information to charge him. They have declared that the artist will remain in custody for at least another 24 hours.

OutAroad.com will continue to track this one, and bring you the latest as it happens.

Dayne Music Group – strictly positive movement

By: Kon-Vick
OutAroad.com Writer

dayne_edwards_music.jpgDayne Edwards is a fresh addition to the plethora of music producers popping up all over the globe. However, unlike many of them he is not just another producer but an extraordinarily gifted one.

Dayne began taking the whole producing game serious just three years ago and have since formed Dayne Music Group in January of this year. It was obvious that he was not just a wayward producer just from his choice of mentors, a palette that boasted the likes of Sly & Robbie, Timberland, and Daseca. This was further complimented by a selection of inspirational reggae artistes from which Dayne gets the same, the list includes Beres Hammond, Richie Spice, and Chuck Fendah.

During the telephone interview with OutARoad.com, one could sense passion over the airwaves. There was a sense of vibrancy in the voice of the developing producer who is based at Ed Robinson Studio in Brooklyn, New York.

“My work is geared towards roots reggae. It touches me more than anything. I don’t mind the dancehall thing, but I am not too much into the shoot them up thing. I do music people can enjoy and feel good about,” Dayne pointed out. He continued: “Dancehall is just about the youngsters, culture reggae is sitting there waiting for someone to take it beyond the level dancehall is right now.”

Girls gone wild at Daydreams - Ocho Weekend

By: Kon-Vick
OutAroad.com Writer

daydreams_girlsgonewild_photos_jamaica.jpg

The OutARoad.com family would like to congratulate the Wright Image Entertainment family, promoters of the popular Daydreams party series. They went all out with fine cuisine and chose a flawless set of selectors to ensure that the patrons at Daydreams, staged last Saturday at Chukka Beach, St Ann's Bay, were fully satisfied.

With the selecting prowess of Richie Ras, Kurt Riley, ZJ Liquid and Renaissance behind the wheel of steel, it was impossible for the patrons not to get some first class musical selection.

Daydreams really began at about 5 p.m. when most of the patrons arrived at the venue. Richie Ras who was in control of the turntables at the time had the patrons dancing up a storm. His set was eclipsed however by that of ZJ Liquid who had the patrons gyrating to Erup’s Click Your Fingers, Kartel’s Wine Pon Him and Munga’s Wine Pon It.

OutAroad.com Model of The Week

Isabel%20Aurora_model1.jpg

Name: Isabel Aurora
Age: 22
Hometown: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Measurements: 34-27-37
Sign: Taurus

Tell us about your favorite experience on a video and/or photo shoot (what video, what artist/song):

I have had so many wonderful experiences, but if I had to choose a favorite I would say this one time I shot on South Beach Miami for a swimsuit calendar. I've shot on South Beach a few times but this particular time, the beach was really busy. I loved it because people were stopping to watch, and some even were taking pictures of me with their cell phones! I remember a man walking with a woman (I guess they were married) and he stopped and she grabbed his arm to make him keep moving haha I felt like a celebrity!

Tell us about your worst experience on a video and/or photo shoot (what video, what artist/song):

I was shooting fashion in-studio in Raleigh, NC. I was playing in my hair and posing when all of a sudden my hair piece came off! The funny thing was that the photographer kept shooting while I was trying to hide from the camera.

"You will bump your head to Assassin's new tracks

Assassin_money_girls_pics.jpgKingston, Jamaica:-- Assassin has been busy in the studio working on some new material to keep his insatiable fans satisfied. With the production expertise of Daseca Productions, Ward 21 and Don Corleon, his new releases are guaranteed to make you “bump-your-head-to-this-track”.

“Same Ting Again” is a production of Coby from the Daseca camp and sees Assassin flexing his muscles on a Reggae/Hip Hop fusion. He explores the routines of daily life - ghetto people struggles are never-ending and even though there’s no money, they’re still experiencing problems. “Surveillance” is another song that is done under Daseca Productions and speaks to those men who are ever keen to their women’s every move.

“Badness Nah Wear” shows off Assassin’s dexterity where he tackles a serious issue, courtesy of Ward 21. Assassin acknowledges that “Reggae and Dancehall music glorifies guns and violence and it is not the absolute reason for what we see happening in society”. However, he does admit that there is the legitimacy of the “gangsta” factor, where music touts it as fashionable and so with “Badness Nah Wear”, he completely dispels this idea.

Caribbean Urban Music Awards is just another Hypocritical Organizations

Disclaimer :

Letter to the Editor

Urban_Music_Awards.jpgThe Caribbean Urban Music Awards seems to be another overseas invasion, whilst we sit and accept the so-called established industry awards. Proper research has not been done on this Caribbean Urban Music Awards and it's organizers who have in my opinion produced fictitious figures and specs to manipulate bureaucratic trust.

I have two questions to ask:
1. Why is it that our Jamaican music heads are so gullible?
2. What does Urban Music means to Jamaicans who will be voting in the People’s Choice?

Urban Music is the accepted title that media houses, promoters and producers use to avoid explaining their involvement with marked Dancehall artistes. So why is Sizzla getting this award again?

British Link-Up Tragedy - One man lay dead

By: Secret Agent

police_shooting_jamaica.jpgThe Portmore Police now have a mountain of work to do, as they try to track down witnesses to yesterday’s early morning shooting at the British Link Up Party held at La Roose in Port Henderson.

The job was made that much harder yesterday, as people started disappearing immediately after the shooting which left one man dead, five others tending to gun shot wounds, and several others nursing other injuries.

What should have been a ‘peace meal’ dance to celebrate the settling of differences between Fire links’s Sound system and Stone Love, turned into a horrifying all out war between a few feuding patrons.

Reports are that a dispute among a set of patrons, led to the frightening shoot out inside the session, forcing others to duck, dive and dash for cover.

At the end of it, one lay dead. He’s been identified as 41-year-old Clifton Reid, of a Kingston five address. Some patrons at the event said he’s a member of the Black Roses Crew, and it’s not yet clear if he was involved in the argument or caught in the crossfire.

Marley Movie-Music Controversy

By Secret Agent

bob_marley_tv_movie.jpgOutAroad.com has learnt that Bob Marley’s family is refusing to license some of his music for an upcoming film that documents his life.

Since Friday, several international news agencies have been buzzing with information about the spat, between the renowned and respected parties involved.

The film is a big-screen version of Rita Marley’s 2004 autobiography "No Woman No Cry: My Life With Bob Marley”. She is also the film’s Executive Producer.

According to news sources, which include ‘The Hollywood Reporter’, UK Reuters, E! Online, the film, produced by the Weinstein Company, has been refused access to Bob’s music because there is a competing documentary film to be released around the same time. This one is being directed by Martin Scorsese, and is being produced by Tuff Gong Pictures, owned by the Marley family, along with Steven Bing's Shangri La production banner. Reports are that this project had already received clearance for Marley’s music.

'Daddy Don't Touch Me There' - is Anti-father propaganda

Disclaimer :
The opinion of this writer's article is not necessarily the opinion and views of OutAroad.com

Letter to the Editor

queen_i_frica_reggaeaccademy_photos.jpgAnti-father propaganda: Queen Ifrica's song demonizes and encourages wholesale disrespect and hatred of fathers. The anti-male feminists couldn't be happier to hear a song like this. "Tear down the patriarchy!"

Mothers, aunts, uncles, brothers and sisters also engage in child molestation, not only the father. If you were sincere about addressing child abuse, you would've spoken to all the guilty parties, which includes every single member of the household and the society at large. You would've chosen your words wisely, to reflect a balance, knowing damn well it isn't only SOME fathers committing this heinous act, but SOME mothers, and other family members as well.

What about the women who are enticing underage girls to join them in lesbian acts? Are you going to sing "Mommy don't touch me there?"... "Policewoman don't touch me there?".. "Madam Teacher don't touch me there?" And what about mothers in incestuous relationships with their sons? You know it's happening. How about a male singer doing the flip version of that song and sing "Mommy don't touch me there?" You would raise hell, wouldn't you? Because the mother is a "sacred cow" and you mustn't say anything to taint the institution of motherhood, even though some mothers should be in prison at this moment for burning kids with close iron, beating babies on their mouths with cups and doing other ills.

Every self-respecting man and father should shun you and your lopsided anti-father propaganda rubbish.

-Loving father

Caribbean Fashionweek, the region’s premier fashion event, has been launched in London. Pulse Investments Ltd recently took the opportunity of the annual staging of the Mayor of London’s Kulture to Couture fashion event to launch CFW 2008. Pulse had entered into a partnership with the Mayor’s office last year. This relationship saw a representative of the City of London attending Caribbean Fashionweek last year as an observer. Now plans are being finalised for British designers to visit CFW in June and for Caribbean designers to visit K2C in London in November. This year’s renewal of Caribbean Fashionweek takes place in Kingston, Jamaica, June 11-16 at the National Indoor Sports Centre as well as various other venues, including Villa Ronai and Strawberry Hill.

Pulse’s Chairman Kingsley Cooper and General Manager Romae Gordon, were special guests at Kulture to Couture and Pulse UK models were among the stars showing collections from participating designers. Cooper, a scheduled presenter at the event workshops, used the opportunity to meet some of Britain’s top young designers as well as media and stylists in attendance, a number of whom will visit Jamaica for CFW.

Rick Ross Rolls Snoop, Miley, Randy Jackson

By David Jenison

RickRoss_hiphop.jpgRick Ross' Trilla proved to be a killer on the charts this week, thumping new releases from Snoop Dogg, Fat Joe, Miley Cyrus and American Idol's Randy Jackson, as well as the latest entries in the powerhouse Now That's What I Call Music! franchise.

The Sunshine State rapper nabbed his second No. 1 album in as many tries, as Trilla moved 198,000 copies for the week ended Sunday, per Nielsen SoundScan numbers.

At a time when hip-hop's focus was on Houston, Oakland and Atlanta, Ross' 2006 breakthrough single "Hustlin' " turned eyes back to the Miami scene. His rookie album, Port of Miami, followed with a No. 1 debut, making the 300-pound rapper one of the few to score consecutive chart-toppers right out of the gate.

"We are thrilled to bring home this hard-fought number one for Rick Ross," said Island Def Jam Music Group chairman Antonio "LA" Reid in a statement. "I'm proud of the work, but more importantly, I'm proud to have Ross cemented among hip-hop's elite, where he belongs."

The Beautiful Alibra - "I am now ready to step up the Challenges"

By: Kon-Vick
OutAroad.com Writer

alibra_sexy_singerreggae.jpgAlisha Bramwell is not your typical upcoming artiste. Her stance in the music is not as a hype person, but one who possesses extraordinary vocal talent that can only be derived naturally.

Blessed with the support of her father who is also a singer, Alisha, who performs under the stage name Alibra, has been doing music professionally for the last five years. Like many world-renowned singers Alibra started out in the church. The Old Harbour High School graduate was quick to highlight that for her it was a natural transition in moving from choirgirl into an aspiring top class artiste.

In her five years as a professional Alibra has made some serious strides. She has several top class combinations including one with decorated dancehall artiste Beenie Man, and others with the likes of Chuck Fendah, Tanto Metro, and the legendary Pinchers.

Many Jamaicans may still remember not just her beautiful face but also her captivating vocals from the Tastee Talent Contest in 2000 when she won Best Dress and Star Search at Traxx where she not only won a segment but went on to gain invaluable experience and links. After her segment ended on Traxx, she was immediately waltzed away by producer Mikey Bennett who asked her to do a single.

Assassin prepares to conquer a new territory

Assassin_with%20whitegirlsphotos.jpg

Dancehall’s only deejay Assassin has been rampaging the dance halls of the Western world. In March, he has already done quite a few performances and has a very important one, coming up on Saturday, March 22.

“I’m heading to Tobago, and even though I’ve been in the business for five years and I’ve had hit songs over there, it’s going to be my first time performing in Trinidad and Tobago,” Assassin stated excitedly. “But one advantage I have of making a good and lasting first impression is that I’ve now been doing this for five years so I’m closer to perfecting my craft.”

Assassin’s appearance at Magnum’s Follow Di Arrow on Saturday, March 1, has left many talking of his “superb” performance. The artiste is pleased with this review as he has invested great time and energy into his performance skills and delivery. “I’ve spent time studying it (his craft) to improve it and I always want to make each performance better than my last,” he said.

Dangerous 'Shoots' Badmind

By Kon-Vick
OutAroad.com Writer

dangerous_dancehall-reggaeartiste.jpg

We have heard the term ‘Too Bad Mind’ many a time, however not expressed in the manner Lipton Russell a.k.a. Dangerous puts it. His name might give you the chills, but his lyrics will warm your heart. Dangerous took the approach many other artistes take in terms of expressing this subject matter, however he added some flavour to it in order to set himself apart from other artistes.

Dangerous was inspired to do the song Too Bad Mind after observing how persons around him react to positive change in the lifestyle of individuals. The song, while based on his personal experience, is not solely related to Dangerous but many other persons can relate to it.

The song took Dangerous three days to write and he is now promoting it heavily. A video was suppose to be shot on Thursday (March 13, 2008), however, it has been put off until the following Monday. The video will be directed and shot on location in St. Thomas by Stereo Belly Production.

Dangerous is a former hardcore deejay that has modified his style of delivery into a more subtle singjay format. This change is reflected in the song Too Bad Mind, which instantly grabs one attention as it possesses some Rastafarian sentiments. The harmony will capture you and make you want to listen the song over and over again.

MAVADO AND EINSTEIN THREATEN JOURNALIST

mavado_alliance_treat.jpgKingston, JAMAICA: Dancehall artiste David Brooks, popularly known in the entertainment circle as Mavado, has issued a threat to OutARoad.com photographer Carlington Wilmot.

Mr. Wilmot received a call from upcoming dancehall artiste Einstein, christened Jermaine Show, at 2:30 p.m. today (March 13, 2008) who engaged him in a disgruntled conversation before putting Mavado on the phone. Mr. Brooks threatened Mr. Wilmot and even mentioned that not even dancehall artiste Vybz Kartel cannot save him from what he is prepared to do to him.

Baffled by Mavado’s comment Mr. Wilmot rang back Einstein’s phone and was told by Einstein that: “things ago happen to yuh”.

A former OutARoad.com freelance writer was reportedly hospitalized after being beaten by members of Mavado’s entourage at his office, located at Merryvale Close.

The outrage began after Mr. Wilmot, who is affiliated with OutARoad.com, was accused of posting a story online which showed a partially naked Mavado and a female cuddling in a room.

A statement of the incident has been collected by the New Kingston Police where Mr. Wilmot reported the threat.

N.B. - OutARoad.com would like to publicize the fact that Vybz Kartel is not affiliated with the website in anyway.

OutAroad went on the road with the 'Strong One' Etana

OutAroad.com - Break Out Artiste For The Month of March

By: The Spokesman

Continuing the March Break Out Artist of the Month Feature on Reggae singer / songwriter Etana, OutAroad.com felt it was time to see what the self styled "Strong One" was like, live and direct in the streets on an average day. So on Friday March 7th we travelled with the empress singer as she made several scheduled appearances in and out of town.

The first stop was at the Digicel Call Center in the business district of New Kingston where Etana accompanied by her Road Manager Lerone Chutkan payed a surprise visit to the staff of mostly telephone customer service representatives who after a prior choice survey select her from a poll of Dancehall & Reggae artists. Warmly embraced by the staff Etana shared in a few laughter and smiles, before she began signing autographs and taking pictures with fans and well wishers. After spending some down time with the workers as a show of gratitude Etana was presented with a LG CHOCOLATE slide cell phone and off she went to the next stop miles away in the southern parish of Clarendon.

No Party After Champs - Will 'Puma Finish Line' gets the same treatment?

RDX_dancehallgroup_vybzkartel.jpg

It appears the St. Andrew Central Police have put a damper on plans by party animals and fanatics of the Boys and Girls Champs to paint Kingston red this weekend.
They’ve implemented special security measures in place for the annual event, and have slapped a ban on all after champ fetes in the Division.

The police information arm, the Constabulary Communication Network, CCN, says the Superintendent in charge of the Division has advised that no authorization will be given for such events.

The move comes in response to rising tension between overzealous students and fans over the years, who take issues from the track and clash in the streets.
In recent weeks, some schools have had open confrontations inside the Half Way Tree Transport Centre.

I-Octane crosses the 'Poverty' line

i-octane_reggae-dancehallartistephotos.jpgI-Octane recently received recognition at the Excellence in Music and Entertainment Awards for his music video Stab Vampire and his latest video Poverty seems set to follow in the same direction.

This is definitely one of the best music videos for the longest time. Poverty takes a sharp look into ghetto livity, it cuts to the core as it identifies the cause and consequences through cleverly inserted blurbs. This gripping social commentary zones in on real issues that contribute to crime through a pictorial portrayal and I-Octane tops it off with his soothing empathizing voice in the background.

The video since its release has been permeating the local cable and television music video programmes and is receiving some good feedback.

It could be one of the contributing factors why the single Poverty which was recorded on the 83 rhythm has now shot its way on the Hype TV Top 20 Singles chart at # 18.

Incidentally another single, Queen Ifrica's Daddy Don't Touch Me There was also recorded on the same rhythm and that song sat at the number one spot for four weeks. It's left to be seen whether I-Octane's Poverty will follow the same path.

Badd Cash a member of the Bounty Killer-led Alliance - "I will never give up"

bad_cash_dancehall_alliance.jpgIn music allegiance is as important as a hit song and as far as Dancehall music is concerned The Alliance represents the best opportunity for a young upcoming artist like Morvin Pennant more popularly known as Badd Cash who is now set to step into the big leagues.

At 27 Cash who hails from the Old Harbour community of Water Lane has seen and can attest to the harsh natures of ghetto levity which is primarily fueled by poverty. As a youth he attended the Old Harbour High School this during the mid 1990's where he began creating lyrics and punch-lines before, during and after class. The son of a single mother Cash recalls seeing his father on a few occasions but the bulk on inspiration was always found in the music. "My uncle always use to ask me what tunes were running the dancehall and I could DJ everyone from start to finish for him, that’s were the real passion came from".

An avid fan of Dancehall culture he soon became well acquainted with one of his most inspiring idols yet the five star general Bounty Killer who after learning of his Baby Cash stage name realigned a few letters and came up with Dirty Money. Accepting the name at first the talented DJ later did his own adjustments and after much thought decided on Badd Cash as the two were basically the same.

"I do music straight from the heart." - Etana

INTRODUCING THE MARCH BREAK OUT ARTIST OF THE MONTH ETANA

Etana_reggaesinger_strongone.jpgArguably the most prolific female vocalist in present day Reggae singer/ songwriter Etana has struck a cord with the masses and like any beautiful melody she's winning the hearts of the people one song at a time.

Spirited in her approach to communicate unfitting and inspirational messages to the youth she's been described by critics as the truth, one who will bring about real change with her powerful and captivating voice that at times seem flawlessly pure.

Rebellious in her approach to denote systematic oppression against all races Etana takes pride in being an artist, she feels strongly that her responsibility as a recording artist is to express positive vibrations in her music and from this she will graceful admit to staying the course.

Born Shauna McKenzie Etana spent her youthful days playing in the hill side community of August Town situated in the South Eastern side of Jamaica. The only daughter of a fairly large family of boys she was as curious then as she is determined now doing the mischievous things most children tend to do at an early age.

Attending school locally up until 1992 when she migrated to the U.S to start a new life in the sunshine state of Miami Florida Etana was a budding achiever; she finished grade school and eventually went off to college the year after with plans of becoming a Registered Nurse.
