Reggae superstar Richie Spice’s chart topping single Youth Dem Cold has been ranked number 29 on Vibe Magazine’s Best 44 songs of 2007. The announcement was made in the prestigious urban publication’s January 2008 issue.
The mega hit single was produced by Bobby Konders and released on the Studio One classic Truths & Rights rhythm. The outrage and compassion heard on The Fifth Element’s recording artiste single contributed to the track’s success on urban radio stations in the United States.
Youth Dem Cold which is featured on Richie’s most recent album In The Streets to Africa which peaked at number six on Billboard’s Reggae album chart last year. The hit single itself stalled at number 59 on Billboard’s Hot R&B Hip Hop Singles & Tracks chart.
Richie who is gearing up for the release of another album later this year, is currently climbing the charts with the singles World Is a Cycle (which recently hit number one); and A Nuh Me Dat.

Ilove and have much respect for Richie Spice. From the first time I heard him until now, I can't get enough. He has showed everyone that you can sing positive lyrics and still make catchy music that people love to hear. And as to "Little miss cutie" above - What is so wrong about the song "Brown skin"? if anything you should be proud that Richie took time to honor his african sisters by letting them know just how beautiful and special they are. In a world where everyone seems to worship light skin women, thank you Richie for keeping it real and making a sister feel special and loved.
May God bless you and yours
Respect.
