OutAroad.com:
Ok tell me how did you get the name Mystic Soul?
Mystic Soul:
"I was going by the name Winston Wheeler for several years, I migrated to the states and came back and my friend wanted to do some music but didn't really like the name Winston Wheeler so we thought through a couple names and based on my personality and type of music we settled on Mystic Soul that's how I came by the name".
OutAroad.com:
What are the current singles you are promoting for you album, what's basically being played?
Mystic Soul:
"Well there are two at the moment that’s being played, Ride een & Pledge. Pledge was written by Wayne Russell of Lyric Surge Records and he also produced the track alongside Raphael Logan. Both songs were released late in December last year and will also be on my up coming debut project".

OutAroad.com:
Tell us about the album, how many tracks and what's the proposed title?
Mystic Soul:
"Well for the album we intend on doing 14 songs and so far we have already completed 6 tracks so we still have some work to do but it should be finished before the end of the year hopefully. As for the title we’re going to name the album I Am The One, and that’s because I'm confident and comfortable with my type of music".
OutAroad.com:
How would you categorize your style of music?
Mystic Soul:
"You know I prefer to say I'm a well rounded artist, I never put a limit on what kind of songs to sing except for anything that will not uplift my brothers or sisters, but I do soul music, reggae, a combination of those and more".
OutAroad.com:
What inspired you to start doing music?
Mystic Soul:
"My inspiration is a deep love for music and seeing other artists like the great Bob Marley and even Michael Jackson opened my eyes to see the possibilities in music and I have the talent but I also think music perused me because even though I had stop singing ideas kept popping up in my head and I was constantly inspired".
OutAroad.com:
Who is Mystic Soul the artist?
Mystic Soul:
"Mystic Soul is one but I'm not alone and look out because I will be bringing good, clean, enjoyable lyrics and I hope Jamaicans appreciate my energy".

I had the opportunity to hear Mystic Soul sing at the LyricSurge Anniversary Party and I was very impressed. It's been a long time since we had a reggae artist with such clarity and passion in his voice. Good luck to you Mystic Soul and I will be looking out for your album.
