Ne-Yo Dropped From R. Kelly Tour

photos_neyo_rihannabeyonce.jpgDon’t look for Ne-Yo at the FedEx Forum in Memphis, TN on December 9. The successful R&B singer/songwriter has been booted off R. Kelly’s “Double Up” tour, which is scheduled through January.

The tour was promoted with Ne-Yo, Keisha Cole, and J. Holiday as opening acts for Kelly. Ne-Yo performed in two shows. However, according to Kelly’s camp, there were contractual issues with the artist.

Ne-Yo issued a statement regarding his disappointment. "I love being on stage in front of fans because of the immediate feedback you get. You know right away if they are feeling you - and they were really feeling our show."

R. Kelly is no stranger to tour conflicts, though. In 2004, his “Best of Both Worlds” tour with Jay-Z ended abruptly after alleged attacks after their New York show.
