Like a fine wine, dancehall giant Mr. Vegas just keeps getting better, and now the numbers prove it as his latest single Hot Wuk burns its way onto Billboard. The molten hot joint scores high on the Hip-Hop/R&B Hot 100 Chart, as it makes a Hot Shot Debut at No. 62 this week.
Currently on the road promoting his new release Hot It Up (Delicious Vinyl),Mr. Vegas has run the gamut of promotional mediums, with several album launches spanning New York City to Florida, and countless radio, print and television interviews from national and international media. He's also appeared on just about every major radio station in top North American markets, and on the biggest shows and events, including Red Stripe Reggae Sumfest (July, Jamaica), HOT 97's On The Reggae Tip (August, New York), Irie Jamboree (September, New York), and most recently at Miami Carnival (October, Florida).
Hot It Up ignited airwaves when it hit store shelves late this summer, as its international breakout hits Hot Wuk and Tek Weh Yuhself enjoyed instant acceptance from fans and the industry.
The album spews sizzling dancehall anthems that feature production and vocal stints from Sly & Robbie, Stephen McGregor, Jovi Rockwell, Lexus and Vybez Kartel. Hot It Up also sees the quintessential artist as its executive producer.
Mr. Vegas is one of only a handful of Caribbean artists who have consistently enjoyed crossover airplay and attention, from the very beginning of his career.
